Devils Bridge Vacation Packages

Room was nice and clean and bed comfortable. Handle on the shower door broken! Now the breakfast....I suggest anyone considering it go elsewhere. Avocado on toast was supposed to come with poacheded eggs, Did query with the staff member on duty, was told it didn't come with eggs, but then came with the two missing paoched eggs and an apology stating it did in fact come with eggs aftrrall, but this was only after the toast and avocado which they were supposed to accompany, had already been consumed! Full English was really greasy, barely warm, eggs appeared to have be deep fried, bizarre!! Needless to say, discarded that oddity! Bit of a Fawlty Towers experience on the whole!

Dumbleton Hall has undergone a huge multi-million pound refurbishment, and it shows. The finish combines beautiful finishes, sumptuous fabrics and age-worn character features which have been tastefully restored. The staff were all extremely polite and attentive, with the exception of one evening when we were left waiting to order drinks. The drinks were delivered and by way of an apology they were on the house. Things happen in any business but I do feel it's how these things are handled which matter. The bedroom we stayed in was very comfortable but we were surprised there was no mirror in the bedroom at all. I would've liked to have sat down in the room to get ready for the evening but had to use the bathroom, which is probably just an oversight and hopefully will be rectified. The addition of spa facilities would be welcome and befitting of such a gorgeous location. It is a bit off the beaten track and I'm sure a spa would only add to the appeal, along with offering weddings as it is ideal for that too. We will be back.

The hotel being contact free and having a code to get in is super convenient! Reduces the stress of having to get to the hotel at a certain time which was nice for us, when we arrived there was 1 staff member at the bar who was very friendly and gave us directions to our room. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean, there was plenty of shower gel, shampoo etc. Its in a very beautiful and safe area and the hotel itself is very quiet. Its right by the main road so it can be loud at night if the windows are open. The bath plug also didnt work properly so when I was having a bath, the water just drained, but the shower was really nice.
