![Kuala Lumpur 3/3: Batu Caves

Not exactly in the city, but one of the recommended places to go when you're in the city. It is very much accessible via the KTM Komuter train. It's one of the most popular Hindu shrines and famous for the humongous statue of Lord Murugan. To get to the temple cave, one must climb the 272 steps. There are many caves in the area but the Temple Cave is the most popular. You will also see a lot of pigeons before getting to the stairs. 
And oh, beware of the hungry monkeys. 😁

« I love the meticulous cleaning crew. They are efficient, gives attention to details (i.e. scrub everything and make sure there is not even a single hair on the floor) and are honest to God. My husband accidentally left his tablet in the room and the cleaning crew brings it to receptionist to keep for us. Luckily my other family members are still staying there and was able to keep it for us but kudos to the cleaning crew for doing an amazing job. »

« Très beau, très propre mais l'hôtel donne sur une rue extrêmement passante (et ce toute la nuit, camions, 2 roues...). La chambre n'était pas isolée, la fenêtre de la salle de bain est restée ouverte car elle était cassée. C'est comme si la route était dans la chambre, impossible de dormir. »

« The room was nicer than i expected despite the ratings the hotel had. It was also nice and convenient as it is really near to all other restaurants and eateries in the city as it is within walking distance. Had to find a place to stay as I had an event to get to at my university and the distance is less than 5 minutes by car. Overall a pretty convenient and nice place to stay for two nights with the price i got. »

"Malgré la qualité de l’hôtel le service du personnel de la réception n’est absolument pas au niveau d’un 5 étoiles. Une nuit supplémentaire m’a été facturée pour mate Check out alors que le surcoût initial annoncé était de quelques euros de l’heure. La communication avec la réception a été très difficile et ne semble pas être suffisamment à l’aise avec l’anglais pour des clients étrangers."
