"We have stayed at the Petwood Hotel before, in order to join a friends party. We loved it so much that I treated us to a room overlooking the garden. It was well worth the extra money, as there was a raised area with a lovely table overlooking the gardens as well as the huge size of the room itself. The history and atmospheric quality of the hotel is superb and the local area is fabulous, especially for walks or cycling. Treat yourself to Sunday lunch if you can as a fabulous pianist called...

"Enjoyed our stay but it was extremely busy as it being a Bank holiday weekend, there was not enough staff on to cater for so many guests in the restaurant. "

"Regarding our one night stay Stoke Rochford Hall: Thursday 8th September Upon check-in; reception staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful in directing us to our room and taking payment. Making our way to our room, number 46, we were disappointed to be greeted with painters and decorators in the unkempt corridors and rooms leading to ours however, we accepted this was part of the hotel upkeep. "We didn’t stay - after a 350 mile drive we arrived to find it very firmly closed. Ironic you send this questionnaire after your reservations person (based, unhelpful,y, in Arizona) spent over an hour and a half on the day getting us alternative accommodation."
