Very nice staff. Good breakfast and decent bar. Wouldn't stay again as room very noisy with shouting from street until 4am both nights and then the road sweepers started at 8

Van der Valk Hotel Gent
The room was nice but the bed uncomfortable and bedding very poor quality. Good hotels should invest in good pillows and towels. Location is what it is but easy enough to get a taxi. Staff were nice throughout.

The room was a HUGE disappointment. A "Double Room" means a tiny single bed and a tiny single pull-out couch, which was never mentioned until we checked in.
