"I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Tahquitz Pines Retreat was the best getaway. Front office staff was so friendly and polite. My room was clean and prepared earlier than expected before check-in time and I like that they went of out their way to turn on the heater for me. The property is well lit up at night, clean, offered a gym and pool and a fire pit. It was peaceful, cozy, and I think from now I’ll be only book and Tahquitz Pines Retreat. "

"Our host was very welcoming and responsive. The place was well appointed and very clean. We appreciated the clear instructions on how to use the wood burning fireplace plus all the necessary supplies. Close enough to town for shopping and dining but far enough out to feel secluded."

"Beautiful inn tucked in the pines. Rooms were well furnished and comfortable. The property was beautiful and peaceful. The included breakfast was great with fresh local foods. Would definitely stay again. "

"Location, (right outside Idyllwild) is great. Everything else, not so much. Room was not clean. Dust everywhere. Sliding door to small balcony had no lock, (not even a clasp to secure it since the entire handle was barely attached). Bathroom was so small and poorly laid out it was virtually impossible to use if needing to sit, (hopefully not TMI). Towels/washcloths very poor quality. The walls were so poorly insulated that you could hear anything/everything coming from adjacent rooms. As paid for was supposed to provide breakfast but no breakfast anywhere. When we went to check out on a Sunday morning the front office was locked even though the neon sign said the hotel was open. I was not expecting anything fancy but by any measurements this place is below minimal acceptable standards. "

"A crazy winter storm showed up unexpectedly. I was so worried, but Jeff and Barb were so helpful. They shoveled us out, helped us drive onto the property. Always available to chat and checking in on us. It was wonderful having so much support. The property was beautiful! With the snow it was even more majestic. We arrived and the location was clean and tidy. We even got some beautiful welcome gifts. "

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Your house is clean have lots of room and really felt like a cabin. The backyard is large and almost completely fenced in not quite but the kids and the dogs loved the place. The beds were very comfortable. The whole family had a lot of fun and we would definitely stay here again. The yard had some slope so the sledding was a lot of fun."
