"Beautiful hotel in its own grounds with indoor pool. Very stylish hotel with ample spaces for guests. Very comfortable rooms. Ours had a large sunken bath. Heaven to relax. Breakfast was provided, rooms had the added benefit of kettle, coffee machine & microwave. Within 5 minutes of a commercial centre with a wide range of restaurants, snack bars and cinema. We wish we had stayed longer. Excellent hotel for families and friends. "

"One of the loveliest stays we have experienced in a unique place. The peniche is exquisite and cosy. Some people might not like sharing the common spaces with other guests. However, we had the place to ourselves 2 nights in a row and met lovely people at the breakfast table. A place like no others. There could be more comfortable chairs in the living room if the weather was inclement."

![Le Monument aux Cinquante Otages, conçu par le sculpteur nantais Jean Mazuet et réalisé en 1950 par l'entreprise nantaise de chaudronnerie Coyac. La rivière l'Erdre, affluent de la Loire, semble stoppée dans sa course à cet endroit, elle a en fait été déviée entre 1929 et 1934 par un tunnel souterrain non visible sur la photo mais qui est proche de ce lieu. Le cours des 50 otages a été construit à l'emplacement de son ancien lit et constitue une voie de circulation importante pour la ville. Le monument aux morts visible sur la photo est dédié aux 50 otages fusillés par l'armée allemande en représailles à l'assassinat d'un officier allemand en 1941. "We spent 1 night. Appreciated: Room design is modern, smart, practical. Good lighting. Dinner in the restaurant was surprisingly good, excellent plat du jour. Front desk personnel were helpful. Water and coffee were readily available. Proximity to the train station—1 minute-can’t be beat. And easy to walk into town (one set of stairs.) We paid extra for better room with Canal view. Very nice: plenty of natural light and fresh air. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom with separate toilet. Great spacious shower. All in all excellent rapport quality/price. Would go again. Small downside. Room could have been a bit cleaner. A used towel from previous occupants was left behind in the room. Towels seemed a bit worn. "
