It is an older hotel that i have stayed at before so I knew what I was getting. The rooms are big and have small kitchens and are old but clean. But the outside property had garbage everywhere and looks terrible. Broken picnic table and just not looked after makes it look much worse.
We selected this property because is was considerably less expensive than hotels in Canmore.
Unfortunately the walls are not sound proof and the adjacent room was hosting a small party.
Fortunately the staff relocated my family to a new room that was far enough away to allow us to get the sleep we desired.
We were coming to the property later then 11 pm after the concert in Calgary, we called to the Bighorn about that but some girl from the staff answered quickly that we MUST to come before 11 pm because they will be closed and finished call. We were calling 3 times and everytimes heard same pushing from this lady. It was really not nice. We were tired and nervous . Night time, speeding driving in the mountains. We came to the property 11.15pm and everything was ok. Some young man met us, gave keys and our staying and rest was pretty good. But woud like to let know about this situation because staff need to be more trained for communication with customers.
