The home has a comfortable living and dining area with delightful rustic Mexican furniture. The bedrooms are large, at opposite ends of the house, each with its own bath for total privacy. The modern kitchen offers a breakfast bar and is fully equipped including stove, refrigerator, blender, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes and cookware. A/C mini splits and ceiling fans throughout. The air conditioning can be set thermostatically in each room via a hand held remote. In Casa Carlita guests will enjoy the comforts of home, including cable TV,VCR/DVD and stereo. There is a small safe with a programmable digital lock, DVD movies and a reading library. Wireless high speed internet access is free, so bring your lap top. The front courtyard is surrounded by a high wall that offers guests the total private use of the kidney shaped swimming pool. There's plenty of outdoor furniture and lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun,an outdoor shower and scuba rinse tank for scuba divers to rinse their gear or snorkeling equipment. Casa Carlita offers top quality accommodations for 2-5 guests, a great location only one street away from the newest and largest grocery store on Cozumel, complete with deli, bakery, pharmacy, liquor, and several ATM machines. Nearby is a modern new multi-screen movie theatre, there is a public beach within walking distance, plus Casa Carlita is within walking distance to town. You will find Casa Carlita is well maintained, the house has a pool man and a maid to make sure the house stays in good shape and is a comfortable home. We have stayed at Casa Carlita's several times. This time was for two weeks. Each time has been wonderful. Everything at the house is perfect. Communication with Carla and her local representative, Victor is great! The home has everything you need and the pool area is it's own paradise. Will stay again in the future. The only challenge is that it’s always booked - for very good reasons! It is quiet, very comfortable and very clean. Carla (host) is super responsive and Victor and Maria are wonderful. The private pool is spectacular before and after diving. It’s super convenient to rinse and store dive gear which I really appreciate. It’s far enough off the beaten path to not feel touristy and close enough to get to everything. Can’t recommend it enough. ##### Amy M. Okay, if you look back at some of the past guest's comments, you will see a common theme with my wife and me. This is because this was our fifth stay at Casa Carlita and we have already booked our sixth for 2024\. Carla's home is clean and organized. She recently purchased a new refrigerator and gas stove. Both are great. Her local representative Victor is very helpful and friendly. The home is very close to the grocery store, restaurants and about a 15 minute walk downtown. Thank you Carla. The home, the people, the beautiful ocean views, were just fantastic. Online reviews sometimes scare a person; I am happy to note that every scary thing I read about Cozumel was not true. We opted to skip maid service, but tipped anyway, realizing this is how people make their living. However, I did meet the lady that came on our last day and she was as sweet as can be! Victor, the VRBO representative, met us at the airport, waited for us to pick up our rental vehicle, and led us to the house; this in itself was FANTASTIC, it gave us time to acclimate to driving in Cozumel without worrying where we were going. Although we did not call Victor for assistance, we navigated and explored our way around with our mobile phone GPS; it was so CALMING and REASSURING to know that he was a telephone call away and would immediately assist us with anything if need be. This to me, was a HUGE asset, being in another country and having a personal contact was awesome. I am a single 65 yr old female and I came back excited to know that I can go to Cozumel by myself, rent a car, stay in Casa Carlita's and have the most wonderful time alone, travel around the island and be SAFE! There is not one thing that was lacking at the home, everything was PERFECT, I would not consider staying anywhere else on my next visit! ##### Sheryl M. It was my husband, daughters (8 and 10), and myself. It was a beautiful and very clean house. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. It was 2 blocks walk to a grocery store and my children loved the pool! The owner and the home manager were very easy to get a hold of and easy to communicate with.
