« This is a lovely place, however; we were unable to stay due to the front lock not working. It was stuck in the lock position and we could not close the door. The three of us each spent about 45 minutes trying to fix it so we could close the door. We tried calling the owner but at 9 or so at night were unable to get in touch. « We stayed in the Friar Room. Joyce is super responsive and easy to communicate with. At the last minute, we decided to cancel our rental car and travel using tour companies instead. It can be difficult to get to and from this property without your own vehicle, so I would only recommend staying here if you have a car. « After reading reviews of this property and seeing the overall rating of a 9.6, I figured that this would be a can’t miss opportunity. Upon arrival, the location was excellent with restaurants and pubs within a short walk, to allow myself and my family to explore the wonderful city of Galway. That was about when the positives ended. « The property was cozy and secure. There is a loud bar across the street, which explains the earplugs provided within the room. The bathroom constantly smelled musty and dirty but visually appeared clean. I would probably stay elsewhere in the future, however this place was not bad a bad deal for the price. »

« The location was alright. The parking was less than desirable. We had to park our car in a pay lot that was a 15 min walk away. The neighborhood is also next to a school, so there is morning and afternoon noise from the kids walking to and from. Otherwise, it was clean and comfortable and the host was friendly. »
