Visit Castle Rushen, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the world, and read stories about the Lords of Mann who once lived there as well as the diverse and fascinating history of this market town. The harbour is the site of the world-famous Tin Bath Races as well as the old brewery and large fishing vessels from its days as a thriving fishing port. There are also several curious attractions, including the Nautical Museum, Old House of Keys, and Hango Hill, which was an old execution site and now provides stunning views of Castletown Bay and Langness Lighthouse. Church view and Castle View are an ideal base for exploring the rest of the island and with everything from water sports to walking tours, bowling to basking sharks, from shooting to spa days – come rain or shine you will never run out of things to do.
