"The description does not do it justice. The We plan to go back. Iacopo is a gem. He was so responsive. He helped prepare our meal as part of our cooking class, and he gave a great tour of the winery. Be sure to get up and visit the church at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. It is worth it."

"In lieu of a wedding, we rented the castle for a long weekend family vacation. It was incredible! We had 14 people and all fit comfortably in the rooms. There are many common spaces. Giovanni recommend a wonderful private chef who we used for dinners and breakfasts. Taxis need to be booked far in advance or rent a few cars to get around. In Tuscany taxis tend to book out quickly. "The location and history is wonderful. The grounds are wonderful. The restaurant is handy and the property is well appointed. The water pressure is very poor and we had an box elder infestation, we actually left a day early without a refund. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The laundry facility is basic with one machine and one setting, and you have to schedule use."

"We stayed one week in one of the appartments outside of the castle. We had the big one (No. 1.B) with 4 bedrooms. So a lot of space for 4 people like us, it might be a bit more cosy with the supposed 8 people max. capacity. The environment around the castle is great, pure Tuscan, great views of the countryside and most of the Tuscan attractions are close by to be reached within a daytrip. Rooms were clean and in reasonable shape. The fridge was big enough and had a huge freezer compartment....

"This was a dream stay. I traveled with my husband and our four kids. We all loved it. My teens loved all the photo opps in a castle surrounding by such beauty. "The Castle and surroundings are stunning. The property is right next to the castle and a short walk to the pool. It had everything we needed for our 3 days whist we explored the cities of Florence, Pisa and Siena, all a short car journey away. Because of the location you definitely needed a car. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend. Beautiful place."

Nice food options and music on specific days Clean Cabins If you have not booked shuttle from the Figline station to this place- you may have a hard time getting a taxi from the station.
