You'll be within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the famous Maine Maritime Academy (a quarter-mile west). Other nearby attractions include Wadsworth Cove and Backshore Beach (one mile northwest), a gorgeous, protected inlet with smooth, pebbly sands, and gentle surf for a peaceful day on the water.
