Sands V is a beautiful oceanfront condominium complex featuring a lovely outdoor pool and a pristine, uncrowded stretch of Carolina Beach. Unit 3A, an Oceanside condo, offers breathtaking panoramic views and direct beach access—just a few steps down, and you're on the sand. Located on the top (third) floor, this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit boasts an extra-large deck accessible from both the master bedroom and living room, where new bar-height chairs and a pub-height table provide the perfect spot to enjoy stunning ocean and sunset views. The master bedroom includes a queen-size bed, a private bath, and sliding glass doors leading to the deck, allowing you to wake up to the sunrise over the water. The second bedroom has two twin beds, a full bathroom, and its own patio overlooking the pool.

Designed for relaxation and convenience, the condo includes free WiFi, cable, and flat-screen TVs in the living room and master bedroom, along with streaming access on the living room TV. The fully equipped kitchen features a dishwasher, blender, microwave, and coffee maker, while additional amenities such as a washer/dryer, books, games, and a spacious deck enhance the stay. Beach and pool access are just steps from the parking area, and a common outdoor grill area is available for barbecues. A ground-floor storage closet is stocked with beach essentials, including chairs, a surfboard, and sand toys—just bring your flip-flops and swimsuits, and you're all set for a perfect beach getaway!

My wife felt the kitchen was not only outdated and in need of a refresh, but that it was not clean, including the countertops, silverware, glasses, and cookware. The sliding doors to the unit cannot be locked. While the front door has an electronic lock, it would be easy to climb over the railing next to the door on to the balcony with the sliding doors that cannot be locked. The entire place is quite dated and old. No beach towels. The bathroom towels are small and cheap. Even the paper towels in the kitchen are super cheap and poor quality. The location is excellent, and other units in the building have been updated nicely (such as one our daughter and her family were staying in). This particular unit needs updating.

The condo was good. The checkin process was fine, but not self checkin. They give you a half sheet of paper for a parking pass, which if you lose, cost 75. Which is to be posted on the dash, it cant be hung from the mirror or visor. While we were there, there was a tropical storm with 40 mph winds. Everytime our car door was opened, it blew out the paper pass. So, my husband put it where it hung from the visor, which you could clearly see, if you looked. Well, our car was towed, with the parking pass visable, because they dont look for the pass. Anyway, it cost us an Uber trip and 260 to get my car back. When my husband opened our car, he pulled the pass out and handed it to the guy, which shrugged his shoulders and replied, im just the driver. OK, so i called Network Realty, which is who we rented from, just to see if they could help in any way. Told them the story and the lady replied, im sorry, i hope you have a good rest of your vacation. This could really ruin someones vacation, and it could be such an easy fix, which i told the lady. Have a system that the towing company can check or call before they tow someones vehicle illegally. Then noone wants to help you. Id have been better off to let the pass fly out and pay the 75. So note: the towing company. Roausk, cant remember exactly how its spelled, is a money racket. They drive around preying on vehicles. The rental company, especially Network Realty, could care less how they treat their "paying guest". Just f

Very good

Everything was great except you can only take 1 vehicle. We took another vehicle had had to pay 522 for parking the extra vehicle. However they do disclose you have only 1 parking pass. Everything else was great. A great place to take kids.

Beach view

Location is great. The deck and view are great. The dishes/silverware/pots and pans were extremely nasty. Sliding door was very old and very hard to open and DID NOT LOCK !! Would not rent again.

Amazing location but needs some TLC

Information was readily accessible and the location was unbeatable. So convenient and beautiful views from the balcony. The condo appeared to have never had a deep cleaning. The vents were covered in dust and grime. The bedspreads were badly stained and very old. Dishes from previous guests still in dishwasher which makes me think little cleaning had been done prior to visit. Make sure you bring TP because none on site. We used the hair dryer once and it tripped a breaker. I looked everywhere for panel box. Called the "emergency" number and have yet to hear from them so we had no power in part of the condo for hours. They stated that maintenance issues go to an email of which I sent and again no answer. Thank goodness I realized where it might be and found the panel box and fixed the problem but had that not happened we would have left with no power in bedroom and bath. If they would just deep clean and update the bedspreads it would do wonders for this unit. I go to the beach for the beach not the condo BUT I do prefer cleanliness.

The condo we stayed in was 3A. It was very nice, but up 7 flights of stairs, as the building has no elevator and we did not know this until we got to the property to check-in.

Awesome Location

The location of this property is fantastic. it's literally right on the sand and walkable to our favorite place - the tiki bar! With a few upgrades, this place would be perfect. The air filters are black and look like they are long overdue to be changed. The beds are super uncomfortable and are in desperate need of an upgrade. For the amount we paid per night, you could take the money and buy all new mattresses just from our weekend stay. There are ALOT of stairs to get to this place. It's on the 3rd floor with no elevator so it would not be ideal for the elderly or anyone who has issues with stairs. We definitely got our cardio in going up and down! Overall, we loved our stay at the beach and would stay at this location again.
