Our favorite restaurant and one we highly recommend is Le Flagrant des Lices. The service, menu selection, and presentation is five stars! In the early morning you can take an easy 15 minute walk into town over a bridge, mostly flat and try a variety of different boulangeries. There is an amazing fresh produce market too. The bathroom has been renovated and also has a washer. There is locked gated off street parking which is a plus. The apartment is very quiet also. ##### Jody F. Couverts tordus voire cassés 4 bols et 4 assiettes c'est trop peu d'autant que la plupart est ébrechée. Poêles et casseroles, sales à jeter !!! Pas de bouilloire ni toaster. At the base of the old city, right outside the walls. Just walk out the door, cross the street, and up the hill and you are at the gate to the old city. The apartment is a large one bedroom, good size bedroom, bath, and large living room/dining room combo. The living room could use more seating but works well enough. The furniture is a bit of a hodgepodge and doesn’t do the space justice. Communication in person was a challenge—Claudine did not speak English, but we managed with Google translate. Wi-Fi was problematic. Stayed 4 nights in Aug 2018 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Isidro P. Aug 27, 2018 #### Tranquilidad Apartamento sencillo y cómodo. Fantástica localización a 100 metros escasos de la puerta del Aude. Casa limpia. Ni un ruido para dormir. Aparcamiento del coche dentro de patio privado. Gente estupenda con ganas de hacerlo bien y pendientes de que todo estuviese bien. Aug 16, 2018 #### appartement agréable une semaine agréable dans un appartement spacieux, propre et bien aménagé au pied de la citadelle. nous pouvions visiter à pied la ville haute et la ville basse. nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli par la propriétaire des lieux qui est disponible en cas de besoin. le parking privé est "un plus" au coeur de cette ville. nous avons été très satisfait de notre séjour. ##### chantepie m. Le parking privé est un plus qu il ne faut pas négliger à Carcassonne. La literie est un peu ferme . Propriétaire agréable et acceuillante. La seule chose un peu négative est que c est un logement très fermé, pas d'ouverture sur l exterieur (petit balcon)qui nous aurait permis de manger à la extérieur. Je recommande ce logement sans hésitation. Merci à la propriétaire qui se rend disponible en cas de besoin. ##### Antonio F. Sep 26, 2016 #### Très satisfaits de cette location Cette location a répondu tout à fait à notre attente : - Elle est très bien située, à proximité immédiate de la cité médiévale, - Le parking dans une cour privative (fermée en permanence à clé) est un vrai +, cela évité les difficultés et soucis d'un stationnement sur la voie publique dans une ville aussi touristique que Carcassonne, - L'appartement en lui même est très agréable (au RdC, bien frais malgré de grosses chaleurs), très propre (aménagement récent) et fonctionnel (une chambre spacieuse équipée d'un grand placard, une salle de bain assez grande avec une machine à laver, une grande pièce avec une cuisine aménagée (un peu plus d'ustensiles (plats ...) serait appréciable ) et un canapé convertible qui ne nous a pas servi (nous étions à deux) mais qui permet d'accueillir confortablement 4 personnes, ainsi que 2 pièces/placards de rangement très pratiques, tout cela avec les draps et serviettes fournis, la télévision et le wifi ...), - Nous avons bien été accueillis par les propriétaires, et, même s'il y a d'autres locations, la configuration des lieux fait que nous restons indépendants ... ##### Yves D. Aug 3, 2016 #### Très bon séjour Accueil très chaleureux, un logement fidèle à l'annonce, bien équipé, spacieux, agréable, calme et au pied de la cité. Présence d'une grande cour intérieure très agréable , et de plus sécurisée. Possibilité de se rendre à pied à la cité , d'y flâner tous les jours. Des petits commerces tout près et à des prix très abordables. Si nous revenons sur Carcassonne, c'est sûr notre choix de logement sera celui-ci.
