"Check-in was smooth and efficient, which made for a good start to the stay. However, the booking process was a bit misleading. When I searched on Expedia, it indicated that breakfast was included, but this turned out to be an extra charge at checkout. I initially assumed, given it’s the USA that this would mean a buffet-style breakfast. In reality, it was limited to selecting one item from a menu. We chose the oatmeal, which was fine, but not quite what we expected based on the description. That said, the breakfast experience itself had some positives. The lady serving was super friendly and welcoming, and the coffee was very good especially the freshly brewed decaf, which isn’t always as nice as regular coffee. It was a nice touch to have two bottles of water in the room on arrival. The quilt on the bed, however, was very thin. Luckily, with two queen beds, we were able to use the cover from the other bed to stay comfortable. To be fair, we chose not to have the heating on overnight, but a thicker quilt would still have been appreciated. One tip for future guests: don’t get confused when booking an Uber or Lyft, there are two Aloft hotels in town, so it’s worth double-checking your destination. Overall, a mixed experience with some thoughtful touches, but also a few areas that could be improved. Gym was awesome !"

"Breakfast is amazing so much selection, location is amazing! A block off of the Magnificent Mile and 10 min walk to train station. Many restaurants/shops nearby. The room was nice but you must leave a key im the room to keep your fan or heat going. Shampoo/shower supplies are nice.. *watch for hidden costs! Also they may say check in is at 3, but they told us our room was still not ready an hour after the time we were supposed to be able to check in… "

"Hotel and hotel staff were friendly and accounting however unfortunately the valet they were partnered with caused damage to the vehicle we were in. Both the hotel and valet had bad communication with each other and could not find a resolution to the problem. Which unfortunately caused me to have to rate the experience a 3/5. If you have a car that you value do NOT book here. "

"The rooms are nice and spacious, recently renovate at least our rooms. However the are big issues with the noise levels inside the hotel and we had a very bad experience with Guests a couple of doors down from a our room that started to shout and fight during the night and the staff / security didn’t address that. Several rooms call the lobby to deal with the situation but the hotel didn’t resolve it or call police. It was pretty scary that at 2 am in the morning.
