Nice hotel with good amenities

Pros: My bathroom was enormous and the tub was pretty big and had a nice slanted back.
Cons: The showerhead was kind of old. I'm really grasping at straws here.
Location: Walking distance (8 minutes) to Boston Pizza (though there were no sidewalks until halfway there).
Clean pool and hot tub. There appeared to be a steam room, but the door was locked; it didn't really matter as I hadn't anticipated one anyway. There were towels available at the pool so you didn't have to use your room towels. Bathrooms at the pool allowed you to change once you got there instead of going down in your swimsuit (which I did anyway). The view out of my hotel room was pretty bland (it included giant fans) but I'm not here for the view. I appreciated the blackout curtains!

It's a nice place to stay overnight. Shuttle bus to airport every 50 minutes makes it easier. Everything looks pretty new. And the room it neat and comfortable.

Bad room assignment

Cons: Get room assignments straightened out. It was not really all that close to the airport as advertised.
My wife and I were given room 629 and walked in to find a man lying on the bed in his underwear! I went back to the front desk and was then given another room. Not a very pleasant experience.

Pros: Pleasant.
Cons: A stained towel was left in our room. Hair dryer didn't work.
Location: Suburban.
Booked this hotel through Expedia mystery hotels. Asked for one room for 3 adults. Arrived to find a room with only one bed! Luckily, another room opened up. How can we avoid this problem in the future?

Pros: La gentillesse des employés, le bon resto, une belle chambre toute propre, une bâtisse toute blanche.
Cons: Je ne sais pas
Pour un nouveau venu à Calgary, et après avoir loué une auto, il a été facile de trouver l'Hotel. Très accueillant, très propre et le personnel est chaleureux. On nous a expliqué comment nous rendre à Banff. Le restaurant est aussi très bon. C'est à conseiller à toute personne qui veut visiter Calgary ou Banff. Bravo

Not the Same at all

Pros: Location and the fact that they allow pets.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Just stayed overnight and moved on to Banff.
Stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and was very impressed with everything about it. Not at all impressed this time though. The carpet was so soiled in the room that it just needs to be replaced (room 444). They had a wedding booked in the hotel and we could hear the music on the 4th floor. The a la' carte breakfast was cold when it arrived at our table and took forever to come, which was probably why it was cold.

Nice hotel close to the airport

Pros: I chose this hotel online based on location & price, and once we checked in we appreciated the staff.
Cons: Include a Continental breakfast : )
Location: Close to the airport, downtown and even the Cross Mills Shopping Centre.
I made the reservation through Expedia. Even though we checked in quite late that evening, everything went very smoothly. We even got to add two extra rooms last minute. It was a hassle-free experience at the front desk.

During the 15 minutes of check-in process, I only saw the cold face of the hotel staff who processed the check-in, and did not heard any greeting word. Felt like I was not welcomed.

Good for short stay.

Pros: Clean room, good location and easy access to it.
Cons: Expedia books 3 people in a 1-queen room but the hotel does not necessarily have a place for the third person to sleep. This should be addressed.
Location: Close/ good access to Deerfoot Trail; airport; and restaurants.
It seems that it is always fully booked on the weekends in the summer. There are no fold-out couches in the single queen rooms and the number of cots are limited. If you require an additional sleeping arrangement in a single queen room, I suggest you call the hotel and reserve a cot for your room. Otherwise, you may not get one. This happened to us but a staff person was very helpful and was able to re-arrange some room assignments and we were moved to a double queen room, and all was good. However, I think another family was not as fortunate.
