"Villa Maude is an exquisite jewel nestled in Virginia's "horse country" with a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I stayed in the Van Gogh room, and it was most comfortable. The host, Maude, was very accommodating. Darla, the dog, after a couple of obligatory barks (dutifully protecting the manse) was a real sweetheart. "Loved the fact that the inn is old and historic. Room was great. I’m a sports nut and downtime on weekends i like to watch some college football. Be forewarned, there is no TV. Which ends up good as you can hear conversations from the room beside yours. I didn’t care for the music from the barn behind the property although it did end at a reasonable hour. These are small things but I tend to be sensitive to extraneous sounds. "

"This house is a gem in progress. It was very spacious and naturally divided into separate areas so it worked well to group families with small children away from older couples without children.
