« I had requested a handicap room. They said it was available. I needed hand bars in the bathroom, I couldn’t even get my walker in the bathroom alone shut the door. I couldn’t even take a shower. It was disgusting. When I got there, I was told they didn’t have a handicap, as I was checking out the lady said the handicap room was available, which thoroughly pissed me off. Room and I had already accepted my reservation. I was highly disappointed. I would never stay there again. The man didn’t offer...

« I love staying at the Iowa House when I visit my son at Iowa State. It is very close to campus, definitely within walking distance. The rooms are always clean and cool. The dining room always has something to eat at all hours. Breakfast in the mornings are always good. I even got a text asking if I would be eating breakfast. The staff are great and very accommodating. When I go to Ames, this is the first place I look to stay. »
