« Cute little dormer had everything we needed. Much more than a “room rental.” Owners very helpful and anxious to please. Abundance of info given on surrounding areas and dining. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dining options they recommended. We should have paid more attention to the detail that renters need to climb 3 sets of stairs. We did not have a problem with that (other than ground or second floor would have been easier) or but others may. A good experience for us. »

« The cottage itself was cute and if properly cleaned and maintained it would have been wonderful. The floor/tiles in one bathroom were loose, in the other bathroom the floor felt "squishy" and there were multiple broken/cracked shelves in the shower. Two of the burners on the stove did not work and when using the stove/oven there was smoke. The window when opened to alleviate the smoke would not stay open. This property allows pets and unfortunately their cleaning and repairs do not keep up with...

« Pet friendly & close to beach (main factors in booking this home). Any issues we did have management team was quick to respond and resolve. Seems like a lot of rules initially - don't get intimidated. Most of it is common sense stuff. Overall a beautiful home. Our dogs loved hanging out on the porches. »

« Overall my family had a great stay, clean and updated family/pet friendly condo unit. Location was awesome for us, right on the beach, commutable to all amenities and attractions/towns. The view of the ocean was also lovely although it was side/ middle unit! Downsides were the some of scary elevators, uncomfortable beds that made rest difficult and pools that needed more attention. Overall it was a happy stay but perhaps not at the rate I paid for some of the downsides. »

I am fascinated by lone subjects and capturing them as part of a landscape. I guess subjects like that are a reflection of my own self, experiencing this life in their own subjective ways. This is a theme that occurs commonly in my images because it’s something I’m naturally drawn to. 

Taken in the swampy grasslands of Eastern North Carolina, where trees are not very common, this one tree seems to be an exception in what is otherwise a marshy grassland. The skies here are wonderfully dark, devoid of the pollution of big city lights. The mist in the air, along with the Milky Way Galaxy, the airglow, and the streaking meteor together give the whole image a very surreal and impressionist feel.
