It was a clean place to stay with comfy beds for a last minute weekend trip. Love the location! Easy check-in/check-out. The soap dispensers didn’t work and there is no filtered water but tap was ok for the short term. Overall good little beach place…would stay again!

As far as location in OBX for a quick getaway this takes the cake. 2 minute walk to the beach, clean and easily accessible room, in a prime location for a great price... I'll be back for sure. Also pet friendly with no issues is a mandatory amenity for me and the pup was very comfortable with her stay. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the Seahorse Cottage in June 2026. We loved the location with the pier and ocean access right across the street and a great little restaurant next door. The price was fantastic. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location and helpful staff. Clean accommodations, if a bit dated. That being said, the overpowering smell of the cleaning solution was a real challenge. I stayed 3 nights and it was almost in normal range the day I left. I kept my door open as often as I could to help air it out. Also the coffee pot didn’t work without holding the top closed under pressure. The result was coffee that tasted too much like the cleaning solution I had breathed in all night.

Everything appeared clean and mattresses were comfortable. Front office staff was helpful and parking was plentiful. A/C worked well and cleaning staff ensured that condensate buckets were emptied, which prevented slips.

The room was clean, affordable, and pet-friendly, which was a big plus. Many guests had their pets with them, and the pet fee was only $25 per night, which is very reasonable. The only downside was the shower—it was quite small. It was just large enough to stand in, so it might feel a bit cramped for bigger guests. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and a good value for the price.

The room was easy to get too, it was just a little crowded for our things, it could have been bigger . We managed though, we were just there on a trial basis and figured it was right for our use, it was close to everything, we explored a good bit. The staff was very nice. I would stay here again.

It's across the street from "Jeannette's Pier" and a beautiful beach. Also next to a great restaurant next door, named, "Sam & Omies" a great breakfast! They had a good group of quite guests. We slept like babies with the fresh breeze in our cabin😁

Kind and courteous staff. And the location is right across from the pier. Perfect location and the rooms/ hotel looks to be upgrading everything. I.e of the feature of their the door locks, with keypads, no hassle having to worry about a key card.
