The Majestic was an excellent choice for us to be close to family who just moved to Lakeview. Almost across from Lake Michigan, it's beach, parks & marina. The city's bus that runs Lakeshore Ave was a 1 hop to downtown Chicago!
The only features I think need some change are
1) the lighting is awful -so dark. The first room we were booked in ( queen)was like being in a closet! We had to change rooms (we had to pay extra :(
2) a few small touches in updating the decor would add more appeal-
"Nice apartment, in the city, close to amenities, "
This was a lovely apartment in an interesting part of Chicago. The place had been newly renovated, was clean and comfortable. The only drawbacks were the tight and difficult parking situation and that some appliances did not work - minor inconvenience.
Converted apartment over a restaurant, two bedrooms, full kitchen, comfy couch. Ceiling fans and window unit a/c's in both bedrooms and living. Decent neighborhood, about 15 minute walk from Wrigley. Would be great for a family or a couple of friends going to see a Cubs game. Whatever street noise or activity in the building there was, was easily masked by the hum of the a/c. Showed up well before check-in, the place was closed, called number for restaurant, got a call back from the gentleman who came over early to let us in (though we did have to wait about an hour before he could get there). Fancy little hipster coffee shop about three minute walk, several restaurants in the area. The building is obviously undergoing some repair/renovation, but all in all, very good. Would definitely stay again.
