« The evening check-in staff were confused on how to handle my arrival, but they worked it out. The Breakfast was great and the staff that managed was excellent: the only hotel chain where I saw the attendant regularly checking/recording the food temp!!!! Pool looked great with a slide too, although I was not able to take advantage of it. Great bargin and good location...strongly recommend it. »

« The hotel was clean and the people were friendly. It was great for a place. I just wanted to sleep. I forgot to bring my cable so I couldn’t connect to my devices and that was a little bit of a drawback, but I wasn’t there very much since I was visiting. Overall a great place to stay overnight. »

« This hotel was recently refurbished and we really loved the rooms, the bedding, even the towels were excellent. The manager at check in was very nice and pleasent to chat with just a great experience. »

« Staff was not friendly. They talk rude to you. I stay at hotels all the time for work and never have I been told that if you have someone come over to your room you will be kicked out. People live at hotel. Beds are cheap framed beds. But for the money you get what you pay for. Won’t stay again. »

« Room smell old smoke. No renovation done since the 50's. Everything is dark (floor, bedspread, furniture) and lighting is insufficient so we can't see anything is the room. Walls, bathroom, floor, sink counter, miror, etc, everything is dirty. And certainly not soundproof, I hardly slept because of the noise. And no hot water in the morning so no shower. Horrible experience. »

« Beautiful modern cabin in a secluded area yet with easy access to the town. Beautifully decorated inside and out. It’s amazing the amenities you can fit in a small space. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire table on our porch. »

« We have stayed at this O'Connell's three times prior to this visit. We have loved it each time, however this time we were particularly impressed. They have made some improvements. It seemed to be in great condition with the same friendliness and family feel. »

« We wanted to get away for a couple days to see fall colors and hike near Starved Rock. This little house in the small town of DePue IL perfectly met our expectations. We had a great time looking at all the interesting decorations. While in DePue be sure to get a pork tenderloin at Casford’s Crossing! »
