« Stunning views, very comfortable, well furnished home. Beds were super comfortable. The view did not disappoint even with cool weather and strong winds. Clara was so helpful with great directions to arrive and super directions for the hikes. This is a beautiful part of the country. We are already planning to return. Had an amazing lunch at Chateau Morrisette which is surprisingly close. I totally recommend this home and the pictures are true to life. »

« We stayed at the cabin in Nov 2023. And had a wonderful time. What made the trip so memorable was getting recommendations from the owner Amy when she came to the cabin stoking the outside heater that piped in heat to cabin. Cannot over emphasize the need to do research on places to explore while there, because this cabin is in a very rural area. Amy's recommendations on where we should visit meant everything. « We absolutely loved our stay at Rockwood Manor. When traveling, we look for out of the ordinary places to stay, places with character, history, beauty... This wonderful place has it all. Our room was spacious, clean, charming, and had a beautiful view. Our bathroom was just around the corner in the hall, but was just ours so it really wasn't a problem. « This was our 4th stay. We love the location - so close to many hiking trails and Va Tech. It is quiet and peaceful; it has beautiful views of the mountains, and it has a wonderful, fenced area for the dogs - and it even has a doggy door that our dogs learned to use. The house has everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. When we were not out exploring, we spent our time in the sunroom. We hope to visit again next year! »
