« This was our second visit. We had a three room suite that was very comfortable. Our room was over the front porch on Main Street and it still managed to be a peaceful space. We enjoyed a good meal in the restaurant. I would call this a quirky place because on Sunday no staff was present. We didn't know to expect this so missed getting coffee pods for our room. Next time we visit we will plan ahead. »

« Beautiful property! The staff was friendly and helpful. The view is like none other. We loved the selection for Breakfast and ate at the Restaurant for Dinner, which was fabulous! Our room was very clean and had everything that we needed. Every time we passed a member of the staff, they spoke. It really was like stepping into a Hallmark quaint hometown Movie! 10/10 will go again! »

« Nick, the co-owner, is very accommodating and personable. Ruffles Gap Roadside Inn (from the 1940s) is campy, cool and totally updated. Did I mention his coffee?! »

« The pictures show it as a flowery place to stay, lots of blooming plants. Going in early spring those flowers haven't bloomed yet so I was a little disappointed but understood. The closeness of all the houses was neat however you have to drive a bit to find gas and food if you don't make a reservation at the Water Wheel. Living in a city this was a big change for me. I would have like to have more insight on what other locations were good for visiting for lunch or dinner. »

« We were greeted by the owner…she very graciously showed us around the hotel and gave us a room with a view of the New River. She was very welcoming. The 1902 building has been beautifully restored. The room was great…as a side note, she told us that they would be opening a steakhouse in town in a couple of weeks. The space worked very well for us as a couple. Note that they have rooms and dining options available for scheduling an event for friends and family. »

« This is definitely the nicest inn I’ve ever stayed in. So cleannnnn. So tasteful. Like a fairyland. »

« Loved the room-spacious and relaxing. The view of the water are phenomenal. Check-in was rough. We were never notified tgat we had to contact the property in advance to put down a deposit and get access codes. Internet connectivity in the area is very poor, and the location's wi-fi was spotty. Generally, check-in was a huge hassle that could have been avoided with some prior notification. »

« Historic home with recent updates. Many nice amenities set this home apart. A pool, hiking trail, swing, multiple firepits, a freezer with ice cream! Our room #4 was very nice and comfortable but the bathroom is a little small. They had a coffee bar with probably 30 different kinds of coffee. »

« Beautiful renovation of this historic building. We went for the quiet and the beauty of the surroundings as well as the opportunity to walk and bike the trail. Our 3 nights there exceeded our expectations. Staff were all very friendly and helpful »

« I didn’t exactly like the advertised king bed that were actually two beds put together with a crack going down the middle. Very uncomfortable sleeping arrangement. »

« Checking in had a little hiccup due to the pin pad. WiFi was nonexistent and was a little disappointing in the evening when we returned and weren’t able to communicate. Good location and the cabin room was a pleasant stay. Nice area to walk the creek. Would recommend the WiFi fix and stocked firewood would be nice. »

« Stayed in the General Jackson cottage. Room was very clean. The king size bed and jacuzzi were amazing. Had live entertainment at the the pub that night, will be back in the future. »
