Just came back from our first trip to Grand Riviera Princess. We have nothing but positive things to say! We enjoyed every second of our trip. The whole resort is maintained beautifully. The staff were accommodating and nice. The food was great and there were many options to choose from. The resort is huge so it was nice getting to walk around. Adorable wildlife all around to see as well. There was lots of entertainment as well as quieter pool areas for a more relaxed time. This place truly has something for everyone. We will definitely be returning.

We had a monkey thing keep entering our room. We felt very unsafe and checked out into another hotel. Staff was apologetic and helpful.

Me & my husband thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at the Grand Princess Riviera. We stayed on the Platinum side, so we were immediatley checked in in the platinum lobby. The first day they didnt have power from 3-5pm due to scheduled maintenance. It didn't hamper anything, went straight to the pool. The pool was great, they have multiple swim up bars and fresh taco & burger stands by the pool areas so you can eat poolside. The pool bartender Rodrigo was excellent and kept the drinks flowing. They have a really large selection of restaurants. To me, the food was typical for all-inclusive, it wasnt the greatest. The tacos by the pool and the fresh fruit were the best. The grounds are enormous and were spectacular and well kept. They have shutttles running every 10 minutes to take you from one end to the other. Its very family friendly. The spa was gorgeous, utilize the hydrotherapy, it was great. A short walk to the beach. It was very relaxing and beautiful. They have a nightclub and live music. They have daily activities going on. Pool parties. Their app makes it easy to book restaurants and know whats going on. We had absolutely no worries during our stay. I would definitely recommend.

Our family of 5 stayed for 4 nights. When we arrived we were told to check in at the family area but no one showed us where to find this. Check in was fast but they did not show us to our room or share anything about the resort. Dinner reservations was disappointing because we had them reserved with a small desk in the lobby. When we arrived for our first reservation, they did not have one for us. Tip- take a picture of reservation if they make them for you. Lots of seaweed at beach now. Pool bar was so much fun! Steak house and miso where they cook in front of you was amazing food! Tacos at pool are amazing! Lots of walking! Sports bar was fun! Night life lacking. Fire show was great! We have been 5 times to Mexico and for the price we paid, this place is great! Let the photo pro take your pictures all week. They are amazing and so much fun to have for memories. We have family pictures on beach, parrot, pool, and random others! These guys are great! If you have never been to Mexico, this is a great place to start!

We did not have a good experience on our recent trip here. Check in was difficult and time consuming. We booked the riviera side and ended up staying on the sunset side which was fine. However, our ceiling was leaking from the A/c and there was obvious water damage. The shower did not drain properly which flooded the bathroom, and the toilet wasn’t flushing at first. They do have a shuttle the runs around the resort, but at check in when we asked if there was anyone who could take us and our luggage to our room we were told they did not offer anything like that. So we made the 10-15 minute walk with our bags and kids in tow in the heat. The lay out of the resort is confusing, and the signs aren’t much help. When we had a glass break in the room, we called for a broom to clean it up or someone to come by and sweep it up. We were told someone would be right there. It took over 4 hours to get someone there. All of the shuttle drivers were friendly. Food wasn’t bad for an all-inclusive. The beach was very rocky, and with a few minutes of being there I got stabbed in the foot with a tooth pick next to the chair. We were also told in the booking that our couch pulled out but upon arrival it did not. I spoke to someone prior to arrival about getting a crib in the room and was told one would be in there, but there wasn’t which was fine however it’s took awhile to get ahold of anyone to get a crib in the room.

The property was beautiful. The food was not so good. The only good food at the buffet was the breakfast. Restaurants booked up fast so it was hard to get a reservation for dinner time. We had the Platinum Package so we had a blank and white dinner. This was worse than the buffet! The taco truck was the only thing that got us through!

I really enjoyed the hotel. We have been there 3 times I was disappointed in our room We always get a swim up and this room has smaller and very steep steps out by the pool...unlike the rest of them

I enjoyed the property facilities, loved natural resources around, and their quality of service & friendly staff. The quality of food needs to improve. Breakfast was good, but I can't say the same about dinner. I liked their paying-restaurant Chill-Out, but the ones included lack the extra quality. Yet, I would recommend this hotel for families with children.

It was a beautiful resort. We had the swim our family club room. It was great for our young children and access to all the family club amenities. I am not basing our vacation off of this. It was excellent after this however our check in was a bit rocky with a room that hadn’t been cleaned(mold in the sinks), fridge didn’t work, tv and phone was broken. I just don’t think the room was used for a while. The resort and reception worker got us a new room which was up to par and perfect and no hesitation. All the restaurants were great, especially Mama Mia. All the staff there was great, we had Jose and Rakiel(sorry spelling) Steak house was fantastic too. Overall we really enjoyed the resort and staff. I only put the check in the review because it’s good for them to know and on top of it they fixed the issue no problem

The property looks large and is intimidating, but it was close to all the pools and beach. I enjoyed the pools and the beach. Not a foodie so i cant comment on the food. I like what i like (fruits and veggies). Well, people were eating the food:)

The staff was friendly. I liked that they had multiple pools. Each had a pool side bar, which was great. Lots of activities, there was a foam party and a slient dicso when i was there. The mini bar came stocked with water that they replenished daily. Multiple buffet restaurants around the resort. I only ate at one place that required a reservation but it was delicious. The beach had plenty of chairs. They have an app for the resort with a map which was helpful. I'd definitely come back.

Property is just ok, rooms are outdated. We had a room with swim up Pool had a lot of leaves in it and was not cleaned daily. Restaurants were not great and buffet isn’t either, although servers were. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Def recommend this resort if you want great food, great vibes, and a well maintained resort. It is very big amd you do get tired of walking depending on where you’re going but they offer a shuttle service that passes quite often.

The beach was lovely. Taco and burger stands were fantastic. Rooms were nice and landscaping was great. Food was awful. Buffets were tasteless and some restaurants (las olas) were inedible. Others (la fleur and la hacienda) had some decent options.

We were just here for our honeymoon and had an amazing time! Staff was very attentive, the food was amazing, the restaurants were beautiful, and there were plenty of activities and lots of fun wildlife to see. Highly recommend and will definitely come back!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for my birthday trip and had an amazing time! My favorite part was our swim out hotel room. We were outside in the pool everyday. Another thing I'd like to acknowledge is the outstanding staff. Every single person we encountered was so nice and willing to help.

Overall rating: 4/5 Pros: - Lots to do (many bars, restaurants, activities) - App to book a la carte online - Great food at a La carte restaurants - Spa circuit hydrotherapy was a great experience - Shuttle template del Carmen ($4 USD each way) - Outdoor taco stand was amazing - Clean resorts and rooms - Service was great (daily complete room service) and staff friendly and funny - Very fun nightlife for adults and kids - Hotel is updated Cons: - buffet food was not great compared to what we expected - lots of walking to get around resort (but there is a shuttle bus) - Drinks were average, nothing special (?seemed watered down) - Expensive transportation to/from airport - Lots of extra charges for things that we expected to be included (I.e. ice cream shop, tequila tasting, outdoor dining experience)

Really nice hotel, staff was friendly and property offers a lot. Upgrade was for bracket to use platinum level amenities. Room remained the same. Overall, great stay.

After many stays in different All-inclusives , this one exceeded expectations! We decided to upgrade to platinum for this vacation (we usually always stick with a standard room) but the platinum services here were WELL worth it. The beach area always had spots to relax with drink services, its own private pool, 24hour room service, air-conditioned lounge with snacks and a full bar, etc. We will definitely come back to Princess Riviera!
