The stairs were interesting to navigate with a 2 year old toddler and two older grandparents, but it was doable. Heating consists of wall units and a fireplace. « My family and I stayed at the cabin for 4 days during my daughter's winter break. It had everything we needed to manage the little ones, cook, relax, and have fun. There are many forest roads about 100 yards away for a morning hike. The local grocery was very close and convenient. The space is nice for a family with little ones. There was a creek running behind the cabin that the kids enjoyed walking down and there was a private lake with a playground that we got to explore. »

« My husband, kids (ages 11 and 8) stayed here and absolutely loved it. The cabin was so clean, nicely decorated, super cozy, had comfortable beds and was just the cutest little place. We only stayed one night because we just wanted a place close to Dodge to ski, but we could have happily stayed a week. It was the perfect spot for enjoying a movie night on the comfy couch and oversized chairs, a kitchen the was plenty big enough and well stocked, a terrific heating system that warmed up the house...
