The Wildwood is very close to a great trail along Walnut Creek- perfect for morning walk. The breakfast is varied and substantial. Easy on and off to the freeway. I always stay here when in Des Moines.

Wildwood Lodge has been our go-to place in Des Moines for several years. However, property is getting a bit rundown and needs fixing and updating. Rooms are clean, but showing a lot of wear and tear. In the past, breakfasts were topnotch -- now it's pretty lackluster and not very good (lukewarm eggs, no breakfast meat, etc.). We will be rethinking our lodging in the future.
