« I came with two friends. We were here to bike the Colchester Causeway and do some kayaking. We also visited the Ethan Allen homestead and spent time in Burlington shopping and dining. The house was in the perfect location and was just lovely. It was a mix of quaint eclectic and lake decor. The beds were very comfortable, there was a nice kitchen and dining area and a cosy living room. We were steps away from the dock and kayak launch so there was always the sound of water lapping the beach....

« The property I think is as described and the location by the causeway is pretty fantastic, that is the big draw. Being able to walk/ride out to the causeway is excellent. Little things though marred the experience for me. Tiny coffee machine that is a little broken (top falls off, often into cup as you pour) - very cheap and can only make 2 cups. No coffee filters provided. Toaster is tiny, cheap and a bit hard to use. There is no established path so you are just trotting about 50 yards across...

« The place is private, peaceful, clean and well maintained. Dave, the owner, even warned us of an approaching storm and advised us on how to protect screen porch furniture upholstery from getting wet, so communication was excellent, too. »

« We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite bad weather all week. The property is as described. The view was lovely and we appreciated how quiet the neighborhood was. We cooked most of our meals. The kitchen was well-stocked in terms of dishes, cutlery, pots & pans. The only potential issue is that the stairs to the 2nd floor bedrooms are very steep, as others have noted, and our dog wasn’t able to climb them. Other than that, the place was very comfortable and it was great to get away. »

« We were very excited to arrive at this beautiful location, however, the listing doesn't accurately describe this rental. Be aware that the windows don't close properly (or at all), there is a lot of noise during the night, properly critters. This unit is above someone and the neighbors are quite close. Very nice ferry driver! If you are into a glamping experience, it is worth it, but the price should reflect this. »

« Our group ended up being fewer than planned but the property worked out great for our purposes! We were in the area for the University of Vermont graduation weekend and it was awesome to be able to book this property for just the 2 nights that we needed. The house is great and the view and proximity to Lake Champlain was perfect. We were able to catch sunsets on both our evenings there and they were beautiful. « So wonderful. Quiet. Clean. Spacious. Well stocked/furnished kitchen. Great shower and towels. Lake view was stunning. We saw wild turkeys, deer and bunnies. Access was easy. »

Location = private and remote on a steep dirt road, yet 20 min to Sugarbush, 30 min to Bolton, and <15 min to both Waterbury and Waitsfield centers. House = ideal for 2 adults and 2 kids - 3 spacious bedrooms with comfy beds and 2 nice baths. Cozy living area, surprisingly great light for an old farmhouse, warm and efficient gas stove, and all the kitchen supplies you'll need - plus washer and dryer. « Beds were comfortable and the 3 season porch was a great place to unwind. We enjoyed the view of the water from the house. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes. At night we could hear tree frogs calling on the other side of the road, which was fun. There's also a park nearby with walking trails, and a grocery store close by. Zachary's Pizza is also close and we had an excellent pizza there. It was about 20 minutes to downtown Burlington. A very relaxing place to stay, so glad we found it! »

« We stayed & celebrated our UVM graduate! It was amazing. We had several cookouts and cooked smores at night. The owner inflated paddle boards at our request. We player cornhole and napped in the hammock. 10/10 »

« Heron Dance cottage was a quiet and peaceful getaway. In a great location, this cottage was well outfitted for preparing meals, contained comfortable furniture and the bed was firm. The views out to the Lake were exceptional. The landing and the way down to the Lake made for easy swimming. Jan was friendly and approachable. The neighborhood roads facilitated daily walks. We highly recommend this property. »

« If you are good with an authentic rustic environment- complete with small rodent catch and release trap under the stairs, a little water coming in the bedroom ceiling when it rains, bugs galore, and supplying your own drinking water— then OK. Everyone else consider yourselves forewarned. There has been absolutely no maintenance done on this property in decades. The local staff are wonderful. »
