"My family and I rented the cabin to find a quiet place to relax while I ran a ultra marathon. The cabin is in an absolutely peaceful location. The cabin was beautiful inside and out. The host really did a great job in making sure you had everything you needed and more to be comfortable and happy. We are already planning our next visit."

"This was a great cabin for a weekend getaway. The cabin was spacious and clean. There was plenty of room for 4 adults. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch! It is in a very peaceful location. We will definitely be back!"

"It's not really the owner's fault at all but the place is built on a rather treacherous bit of mountainside in the Shenandoah. The website doesn't really give much warning about this and there isn't any sort of guardrails. There is a hell of a 'pucker factor' getting to and from the location as it's just one lane. But once you get there- My GOSH! So beautiful-- so inviting.. and so, so so sooo cozy! Makes it all worthwhile!! As I said before, unless a millionaire wants to donate $$$$$$ for them to build a two lane bridge connecting the property to the hardball, not too much to be done!!"

Epic Mountain Views, Hot Tub and Privacy at Harvest Moon Lodge and Retreat!

"We had a wonderful time at the Harvest Moon. Good location for a mountain getaway. The house is decorated nicely and is cozy. Basement is a plus with the pool table, air hockey and hot tub. The owners were easy to reach and answered all my questions in a timely manner. I hope to go again one day!"

"It was just as described. Cozy, intimate and romantic. It would have been nice if the fireplace was in working condition. Also, several website need to be updated because they show the on-site restaurant as still in operation when it is not. Was a bit of a disappointment to arrive on a Sunday night and have nowhere nearby to eat other than fast food options or making the trek into Lexington. However, for what you are paying the cost is perfect and the atmosphere is nice and secure. When you stay in the cabin you are literally right on the edge of the road-- every big vehicle that comes by you will hear and even the big rigs might shake the place a bit, but after a while this gets a bit relaxing and with the blackout curtains pulled, can be almost even soothing white noise. I was here to decompress a bit before a hard work week. Will have to come back with my partner and experience it as a proper 'second honeymoon' getaway. "

Perfect Place to Reset

"I’ve had glamping on my bucket list for my 11.5 year old boxer for awhile now but could never find any that were dog friendly… until now. Like everyone else said, pictures don’t do the tent justice. It’s so lovely and has everything you need. I was surprised by how many outlets were available. The rain shower was amazing and hot. The bed was comfy, loved the grill and fire table. The first night we (my 2 boxers & I) just relaxed and enjoyed being outside. The next day we hiked crabtree falls, hit up devil’s backbone outpost, and went to hull’s drive in. After we checked out we hit up the natural bridge before we headed home. Lots of dog friendly activities and more to try next time. We will definitely be back when it’s too cold to camp. This is a hidden gem and the cabins onsite also looked great. I plan on looking them up as well for a family trip."
