The Kantar hotel is the top 4 floors (floors 7-10) sitting above a hostel (floors 1-6). The elevator is key-fobbed to restrict access between the different guest uses. Quiet, clean, but bare minimum facilities. Rooms, linens, bathrooms were clean. The kitchen/cafeteria offers a free breakfast which I thought was simple but good, and certainly better than the price point would suggest. Not the prettiest nor kid-friendly laneway/street frontage, but the location is less than a minute walk out to the main drag (Vazgen Sargsyan Street) and just a couple minutes more walk to the splendor of Republic Square. As this is soliy in Downtown Yerevan, “everything” is convenient: eating, shopping, site-seeing, banking, walking, Yandex, markets, etc. For the price I paid, Kantar hotel is one of the best values.

Everything about Kantar was incredible! We initially were booked with a terrible hotel in a bad location through our tour agency and then thankfully we found Kantar. Seriously from the people, the space, cleanliness, the breakfast, the location, everything was perfect. Affordable and you get your money's worth for how good it is. Don't consider booking anywhere else!!!

Great for a citybreak with friends
Great pre-stay communications to arrange our airport transfer. Everything was easy and smooth with all the staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was super clean and spacious. Breakfast was a good selection and freshly cooked. Felt very safe in the locality too. Could not really have expected any more and would definitely recommend.

As the flights were arriving and departing at times in the middle of the night, it was important to have the use of the quiet common room. This proved really useful when leaving for the airport at midnight and arriving at 0800 in the morning. The staff were fantastic. The hotel is located on the top floors of residential property. The room is not big I paid for breakfast but was supposed to leave before breakfast hours and got " lunch box" instead. But that lunch includes 2 pieces of bread and 2 slices of chess and salami It is not a real breakfast Overal the hotel has perfect location and good enough for budget stays

Certainly not five star but good value
Quirky place! Essentially it's a hostel, but some of the rooms are amazing. I had a 50 square meter apartment for about 75 Euro per night. And an amazing view of Ararat when the cloud lifted. The breakfast is okay, a little boring, but fresh. And the staff in the front office at night time so friendly, but not so much in the kitchen in the mornings. However I made the mistake of speaking Russian and once I had spoke a few words of Armenian and English of the staff were a little kinder and friendlier. All in all of this place is great value but don't expect five-star comfort. Oh also the location is pretty good, but the main restaurant / bar area is good 20 minutes walk away but there are options within 5 minutes.

The Space!
It was a family reunion and we had a two-bedroom apartment, which was amazing for our needs. It has a massive living area with open plan kitchen, dining area with big table and living space with sofas and plenty of space for kids to run around. Each bedroom is a very good size, each with en-suit + separate toilet off the main corridor, so no fighting for it :) we used the washing machine couple of times too, which was perfect as travelling with small kids. We generally had most of the things in the appartment, and if we needed anything we could ask reception for it (for example and additional frying pan). The appartment is central and easy walking distance to many attractions. It might not be the most amazing building from outside, and the views were only of the buildings across the road, but certainly was it cosy, very spacious and clean. Would definitely stay again should we visit Yerevan! Very polite and helpful staff too.

Great speacious apartment
Great location, nice hotel, very clean. We booked the 2-bedroom apartment and it was huge. It has 3 toilets and 2 showers and can fit up to 8 people. Breakfast is great too but it starts at 8am. They could start earlier as many people leave eraly for tours, work, etc

Kantar is located within a close proximity to Republic Square. Very good hotel for a reasonable price. Very clean. Stuff is very professional and try to meet all your needs. Breakfast is very good with wide variety to choose from. I would definitely stay at Kantar again.

Great location within walking distance from most Yerevan attractions. A lot of restaurants and grocery stores around. The breakfast was wonderful with good variety and fresh materials. Rooms are clean and housekeeping is done every day. I definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

My name is Armen. The last time I stayed at this property was back in 2015. I was impressed at that time and I'm impressed now. I have the means and ability to go to much nicer and luxurious hotels, but this was the best value for me and my family. The biggest difference was the staff. After a brief breaking of the ice, they became like family members to me. The care and support we got from them was unmatched. I have been to over 20 other countries, and I'm comparing the service to the services of those hotels. Starting with Onik, Tamar, Haik, Nina, Parour, the entire wonderful / amazing kitchen staff. There are a few other names that I'm forgetting. I want to send my regards to them and to the management team for selecting such great talent / personnel. I do have an email correspondence with the owner (Armen) from 5 years ago, I asked if I can invest or purchase one of the units there. If the owner is still Armen, I wanted to say hello and congratulate you for significantly improving the hotel accommodations and making my 2 week trip with my family full of good memories. We will be back (to Kantar).

This is such a cozy place in the heart of Yerevan. I LOVED their breakfasts and was looking forward to them every day. Staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was simple but had everything one could possibly need for a week. I honestly was pleasantly surprised with this place and will choose it again for my next stay.

My mother and I made a reservation in this hotel for 9 nights, but after just one night we decided to do early check-out and change our hotel because it was so disappointing. First of all this property is a residential building in 6 floors and they made some upper floors as a hotel which doesn't make sense. The rooms are so tiny windows open up to the ruined unfinished building which we were not interested even to open up the curtains let a lone to have a good view. Its like you trapped in a tiny room of an apartment complex.The environment hygiene were not as expected. Guest rates are wonderful which I believe they mostly related to before COVID times. I can say after COVID its just OK or good not a wonderful rated hotel. Although we asked for refund after sending a couple of emails back and forth, they refused to pay back at least half of the fee for 8 nights which we didn't stayed. You can imagine how terrible the situation of the hotel was that we were not able to stay even though we already pay the total fee.

Before we go over a few main aspects that took place during your stay, we would like to reaffirm that all the information mentioned in our page is correct and up to date as well as that the hotel has just undergone renovation. Below are the main points that concern your experience in our property: 1. On the day of your check-in, you were surprised not to find the hygiene shower/sprayer in the bathroom, noting that we do not have that specific tool in our bathrooms as shown in the pictures. Even so, we contacted our maintenance team to figure out a possible solution to the issue so that we could meet our guests’ needs. Afterwards, our team informed you that we would be able to install the tool the following day. 2. You complained about the size of the room upon your arrival. We kindly noted that it is the exact size as mentioned on our website and on Expedia. To solve the issue, we offered to upgrade your room type at an additional cost. However, you refused. As for the view, the hotel is in the city center, therefore it is normal to be surrounded with our neighboring buildings. 3. Last but the most important part is that by choosing the non-refundable rate, both Expedia and our reception officers clearly explained that in case of any cancellations or no-shows, you will not receive any refund and you have agreed with that! In addition, we would like to point out that we do not doubt the opinion of our guests. Too good for it’s price!
The hotel is 2 buildings away from the main road which make it really good as it has the peace (away from the noisy road) but is still very accessible to Republic Square. We got the 2 queen bed room which is perfect for a family of 4. The best thing is it has 2 bathrooms! Yes, 2 Bathrooms which makes it really really good as you do not have to wake up so early to take a bath and prepare for your busy day. The breakfast served is good. The staff really goes extra mile to help you. I have requested for a sewing kit and voila, they have it. I got so happy as compare to the hotel in Georgia (You have to pay for a sewing kit and toothbrush) that we stayed at, it’s for free.

The staff at Kantar was the best part of the stay. They were outstanding in friendliness and helpfulness. It was also well situated to the central parts of Yerevan making it an easy walk to sites and restaurants. Unfortunately, the apartment is tired and well worn. The kitchen was sparsely supplied and lacked any coffee/espresso maker. The most disappointing discovery was the supplied washer/dryer didn’t have a socket to plug into, making it useless. The windows are also thin and aren’t sealed well making it is drafty and unfortunately, due to the poor air quality of Yerevan, very smoky with an unpleasant air quality even inside. I woke up throughout the first night because I smelled smoke that seeped in through the windows and doors. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay there again myself.
