Thank you for your feedback which was disappointing to read. You booked one of our Cosy rooms and were subsequently upgraded to a Deluxe. Only two hours sleep is not usual at The George and noise in the bedrooms is not something we hear about. The hotel is a 17th century townhouse so character floorboards may creak from time to time but not to the levels you have described. We will investigate the late-night hoovering and were pleased to hear that this stopped when your husband mentioned it to our Team. We really can’t understand the excessive banging and talking, it’s possible that other guests were being louder than we have previously experienced however, we do note that no other rooms reported any such disturbance the following morning. We also understand you were recompensed for the inconvenience and very much hope this one-off experience will not deter you from future visits. In future, please request a quiet room and will do our best to ensure you enjoy a better night’s sleep. Warm wishes, Team George
