Yangon is a transit city , not much to see except the pagoda and a nice walk in the park near the pagoda. The city of Yangon is a third world city, exceptionally dirty. The mercure hotel is not located in the city centre and it is a good thing.

Busy. Terrible sidewalks,which were often occupied by junk, vendors (good), and dangerous holes, but that is part of the experience. People generally friendly, taxis cheap. Lots of fun.
