Very nice grounds and staff. Everyone was very helpful. Restaurants on the property were varied in cuisine and top notch. Our room was a bit old and rather nousy especially when there wereots of children about.

It is one of the older resorts, but is very well kept up and the staff are amazing. I have stayed there twice and plan on going back again.

Excellent resort for both divers and non divers. Mambo beach is very nice with snorkeling off the beach and lots of fish to see. There were always loungers available on the beach. Ocean encounters scuba shop is right there for setting up diving trips. There’s an aquarium right there as well. Two bedroom apartment was very nice for the four of us. Hemingway has a great breakfast buffet right on site and also great for lunch or dinner if you didn’t want to venture out. Plenty of food options nearby. Ten minute taxi ride into town for higher end restaurants and some sites to see. The hotel was great about communication before and during the stay. I was able to set up diving, airport transfers and a rental car before coming through email. BRING ELECTRICAL OUTLET CONVERTERS! It’s 220V (European style) here. Overall, a great place in an awesome location, with nice staff and lots to do and see… or just chill. Definitely coming back.

Lions Dive was wonderful!! Our oceanfront room was beautiful. We really wanted a resort that has access to great snorkeling right from the beach and that’s exactly what we got! The restaurants had good food & were so convenient. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The dive center was very professional & our shore dive was amazing, right off the beach of the resort!! We will definitely be back!!

Staff was good. The room was nice but located on the end where the shops were so it was a bit noisy at night when activities were going on. Was not too much of a disruption, but noticeable.

We stayed at the Lionsdive in 2023 and had a wonderful time. We decided to come back in 2024 since it was so great. The location next to Mambo Beach is great for food and drinks. The beach and pool are also great. The big downfall in 2024 is the level of noise. They are doing construction which starts at 7:45 am in the morning. In addition to the construction, we were woke up at 5:30 am for a gas powered fogger for bug control and tree trimming at 7:30 on a Sunday. We tried to change rooms but the other rooms lacked a view. The manager never came out of their office to speak to us. Instead they gave us a free breakfast for 2 (we are a family of 4) and a cheap bottle of wine for our troubles. I would look to stay in a different place or verify that your room is not near the construction

Although the property offers many rooms, it felt like a boutique hotel. We had a beautiful view of the pool and ocean. The rooms are pretty basic including a small fridge, coffee machine and kettle. Almost all rooms have a shared balcony. We went with another couple and both rooms had two beds, no King. We were very pleased with the welcome gift of sparkling wine, a lovely beach bag and 2 refillable water bottles. We used the last two items all of time. We are at 3 of the restaurants and especially enjoyed the pizza/pasta one and Nemo’s. Hemingways was fine for breakfast, although no a la carte option. The hotel is right on Mambo Beach which makes it convenient for swimming or visiting the many shops, (Kuki Coffee Shop 😋 ) and restaurants in the area. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the island.

Loved the shops being walkable if you felt like taking a break from the beach. The breakwater allowed for safe swimming and the water was beautiful. A few areas of the beach were rocky underwater. The palapas and shade sheds were quickly taken by early morning beach hogs placing towels on lounges. The section we were in was an older section with an unattractive balcony area - first building by the pool and check in-noisy at times with construction of building next door. Management deducted money off our daily room cost (we didn’t ask for any compensation)) which was appreciated. Wednesday, Friday and Sunday night dining on Mambo Street is to be avoided unless you like to eat to the thumping bass heavy music coming from the Chill Bar below- forget conversing while dining! Food prices were fair. Food was ok. Buffet breakfast at Hemingways was just ok. We opted to walk cross the bridge to eat at Olafs. The ice cream shop by the beach gave a generous scoop for $4.00. Good service on the beach and at the chill Bar was very slow -but hey relaxing on the beach isn’t a bad place to develop patience!

My wife and I spent our 20 year here and loved it. Wonderfully landscaped and clean accessable beach within the reef. Multiple excellent restaurants with incredible staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. We would recommend to anyone.

Definetively NOT a 4 star. Not even a resort
Where do I start? pros first: front desk and managing are nice people. Cons: First day it’s packed with people not belonging to the resort, not anywhere to sit. They gave me a room extremely noisy, next to lobby a stair access to other floors, facing the kids pool, I complain, they accommodate me in another room, the zone looks more silent, but surprise: next door (with a communicating door in the room) there is the SCUBA restoring office, they work with tools starting 8am, at least 4 people per time, even louder. All sunbeds are taken already at 8am, also by people not staying at the property (free for outsiders too!) same for tables at dinner, people that stay at the resort have no services since they don’t make any restriction for outsiders, it’s basically an hotel with open access to everyone without monitoring or charging outsiders. Why should I pay more than people stay in the condo behind this property then since they have same services as I do? The beach and the bar area are dirty, always filled with empty glasses and bottles, and they stay there quite long time, service is very very slow, they literally don’t care, if you don’t call them they don’t come all this while they sip their drinks, use their phones and chat. Breakfast: a disaster, assortment is low, quality is low. Definitely not a 4 stars, very very low standards. If you want a relaxing vacation or expect a 4 star service don’t come here, this is a loud place, services are poor.

Lions dive is a big property has some restaurants and good bars to enjoy. The beach is OK. The water isn’t great. It was being dredged while I was staying there. The hotels of it dated the staff is really friendly but my biggest issue is the room that they gave me that I had to stay in for five nights was located right above the lobby with a view of the parking lot and the busy road and there was also construction going on so it was not a comfortable stay for me. They were fully booked and could not move me to a better location. I wouldn’t put my worst enemy in that room for five days. For that reason, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Food was below average, everything tasted like cheap pre-made dinners from a supermarket. Prices don’t match quality. If you want to eat well you should go to Pietermaai. Shower smelled like urine by the time we received the room, and the bathroom sink was clogged. Rooms had a good area, plenty of towels and were quiet. We received a nice tote bag and a couple of sugar-cane bottles.
