Hi Anne,Thank you for your booking and taking the time to leave us a review!The Smart T.V's and the Air Conditioning have been a favorite of many guests lately :)We do find Whangarei in general will book up very quickly when there is an event on, so we were happy we were able to accommodate you and your family.We find that if people want a bigger pool, then we direct them when asked, to Whangarei's Aquatic center, as it has lane pools, a wave pool, a few hydroslides, kids pools and a gym on offer. Our pool is ideal for relaxing in rather then intense water play.

Hi Lorna, Thank you for your booking and taking the time to review our Motel. It is unfortunate that you had a stray cat visit we will be keeping an eye on things to make sure it doesn't bother anyone else. It may be that a neighbour who has left their pet home alone while they are away. As a general rule we don't advise Guests to leave their doors open at night. As far as the smell goes we are not sure what you are referring to as we cant identify what you have mentioned. The room seems fine to us and there has been no comment from guests currently staying with us. As you had stayed with us for three days we are surprised that you were not aware that you needed to request room service and new linen before the office closes for the night. The signs requesting rooms service can be used if you are leaving early for the day and otherwise should be used before 10AM as that is when our Staff are onsite. If the sign is set to "Do Not Disturb" we assume that you do not require anything. While we are happy to help after our cleaners have left It was fortunate for you that we were able to assist you after 9:30PM.
