Stayed in room 121. I booked a non smoking room and free breakfast was also advertised, I actually specifically selected this in my search online. When I enquired about breakfast times I was informed they don't do it.
I booked a non smoking room, occasionally things have gone wrong and I've just tolerated the smell but this was hideous, after a few breaths the smell of it just lingered in the back of the throat. I asked about this and was offered a single king-size room however there was two of us, both feeling a bit under the weather so we needed separate beds so this wasn't a solution.
Speaking of which when I went to blow my nose using the toilet paper even that had an unbearable smell of smoke. Out of the 4 lamps in the room only one switched on, on closer inspection this was because the other 3 were missing bulbs. I've noticed previous reviews comment on this.
The bed sheets didn't have the fresh feeling I've been use to (I'm traveling around and this was the 10th stay) perhaps they were clean but something didn't feel right, maybe it was the general ambience of the room that influencecd this.
I've normally been able to pour myself a glass of tap water in other locations to drink at night. This was impossible here, the taste and smell of what I assume is chlorine of something similar to sterilise the water was several times stronger than you would get in a swimming pool. This also made showering have the same effect with the smell in the morning.
