A reasonable B & B but offering tired facilities throughout, ample free parking and generally good food but over worked staff finding it difficult to adequately look after there guests.

An all round great place to stay
Great good, very comfy bed, amazing shower and easily accessed from the A3so ticks all my boxes and will definitely stay there again when I’m in the area.

Very good service, ferry delayed from Guernsey by 3 hours, but manager stayed until we arrived, just after 11. Comfortable beds ,very nice breakfast and pet friendly.

Fabulous as always!
New Years Eve! What a great way to ring it in, excellent service, fabulous food and live music!! Second time staying at this hotel. The room was warm and bed comfortable everything you could need, although room did look a little tired in the corners and the door in the corridor could have used some wd-40 😄. Breakfast was yum! Very dog friendly and great location for local dog walks.

Comfortable stay in a country pub
Nice characterful pub with comfortable clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good hearty breakfast. Dog friendly.

Wonderful night stay away.
What a wonderful place. Stayed for 1 night for a nearby event. Staff could not be friendlier, atmosphere with big open fire was perfect and the breakfast in the morning was way above your standard B & B. Room was immaculate and the free “extras” a real treat. Couldn’t recommend more highly and a great vale for money night away. Only wish we’d been able to eat in the Hog that night but we were already committed. Superb.

Excellent stay
Have just come back from an excellent 10 day stay at The Hampshire Hog. Good location. All staff very hospitable and accomodating, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast plentiful with wide selection of hot and cold foods. Food served all day, good quality from varied menu. Dogs received a superb reception. Ended up having to staying an extra night, due to illness. Steve and Colette could not have been more caring and helpful. Even took a trip to the chemist for us. Will definitelt stay again if in the area.

Great But Flawed
Great service, friendly staff, couldn't be more helpful. Rooms are ok but benefit from nice extras such as snacks and other complimentary items, proper milk in the fridge for tea and coffee. Shower is over the bath - not great, bed wasn't very comfortable - mattress is worn out and should be replaced. Parking is plentiful and free. Restaurant is decent, great breakfast and pretty good dinner options - all excellent quality.

Great quiet location.Room spacious and well equipped. Lovely welcome tray and fridge.staff friendly and helpful.Breakfast very good but not fans of smokey bacon.Cooked breakfast hot and tasty.

Highly recommend
Our ferry was a bit late, so we contacted the staff and they were fantastic. We then found that the A3M was closed, without giving a detour. Again we phoned and they were so helpful. They waited patiently for us and dealt with our reservation and drinks with such kindness. The room was exceedingly spacious and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.

Myself and my husband absolutely loved our one night stay with you blown away with the attention to detail in the room and the complimentary items bed was really comfy. Bathroom was really clean. Lovely touch with the toiletries, especially the fact that for us it was a last minute booking due to myself having an accident and wasn’t able to travel home as I was in too much pain from coming out of the hospital breakfast the next morning was really nice. Plenty to choose from and service and staff were welcoming friendly and couldn’t do more for you. I’ve already recommended the Hampshire Hog for Family who come to visit our family who live in Borden will definitely be back

3 Night Stay
Room was a good size and bed was comfy but had a large stain on the side of the base which didnt look very nice. Complimentary tray was a nice surprise and there was a good selection of teabags snd coffee pouches. Service in the bar and restaurant was excellent with friendly hardworking staff, and the breakfast choices were good and very tasty. Garden area was very pleasant to relax in, and plenty of parking too

Our stay was a short one on the way to catch a ferry. Staff were great and very accommodating when we unfortunately arrived a lot later than planned. Food was lovely, staff very friendly and our room excellent, quiet, clean and beautifully appointed. Coffee and artisan chocolates were a lovely touch as were the beer, apple drink, water and twiglets. Thank you. Whole heartedly recommend.

Lovely stay with little, extra thoughtful details that stood out in a positive way. Staff friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was a little bit hot though, not sure 10.5 tog duvets are required in the hot summer weather, a fan would be a useful addition.

Very good but needs a face lift.
A very tired establishment with regards to the condition of the room decor and the exterior. On a positive note the food was very good, especially the breakfasts with an excellent choice for all tastes. The staff were friendly and very attentive. The manger and her husband were superb organising breakfasts.
