Excellent hotel! The service is tremendous. Anything we needed they were willing to provide. No complaints whatsoever.

“Comfortable and convenient”

The Klimpton Rouge was just around the corner from the workshop I was attending. The price was right. The location was great, just up the street from the White House. A good walk to the Mall and museums, even on a Washington winter day. The neighbourhoods have many good restaurants and other evening spots, including great bookstores. Aside from the usual challenge of airconditioning/heating for someone who usually sleeps with the window open, the service, comfort and quality of the hotel was great. If the price was right, I would definitely stay again - it was great value in a very expensive town.

“Great Hotel”

The front desk were very friendly and helpful. Arrived too early to check in but was able to leave luggage at hotel while sight-seeing until check in time. The rooms are a good size and very clean. Short walk to the White House and other tourist spots. Food in the Bar Rouge was very good! Loved the hotel decorations.

“Hotel Rouge”

The location and neighbourhood were excellent. Only 4 blocks from the White House. The room was excellent in terms of cleanliness, in-room safe, loaner umbrella, coffee maker and the quality of the bed was superb. The staff were very helpful and polite. The manager specials, wine on weekdays and pizza and Bloody Mary's on weekends were a nice treat. I would highly recommend this hotel.

“Quite Pleasant”

Location is on a nice quiet street, but easy walk to Metro and Dupont Circle area. Everyone tries hard to please. They gave us free ponchos when we set out to see the Redskins play in the rain. Check-in and Check-out extremely efficient. Room spacious and air con worked well. On the down side, very few TV channels and inadequately furnished. One night table for two queen beds (no drawer) and not much space to store clothes.

“Great place to stay for quick DC getaway”

Our stay at the Kimpton Hotel Rouge in DC was a very positive one. Standout features: Great location. Close to all the downtown sites, yet situated in a more trendy neighborhood near frequented local restaurants and night spots Surprisingly comfortable bed with duvet cover. Spacious room Cordless phone! Aveda bath products (soap, shampoo, etc) over no name hotel brands Parking is expensive (About $30 per day) though this might be standard for DC.. Charge $1.00 for local phone calls. Though the decor might be a bight over the top retro, it is mostly tastefully done and not as overbearing as you might think. Overall, the rooms are quite comfortable for the price and the location for DC vacationers is hard to beat.
