First night small rooms were given, next day upon telling them about the size of the rooms booked rooms were changed into bigger ones. The bigger rooms were fine

Would not stay there again.
Hotel booking confirmed that all fees were paid. However the hotel charged me another 12 Euros as local tax! Staff not that freindly. Hotel a little outdated and in need of repairs.

The hotel located 500m from train/metro station. Hotel staff were very pleasant. But air conditioner does not work that required to open the windows, there are railways 50m away, so there is a train noise during the night.The drainage in the bathroom did not work properly.

Good for the price
Street noises in one side though I got used to it after one night. Ventilation poor and no air conditioning. Clerks were fabulous. Every one and especially our day-clerk. Twin beds were small by USA standards and in one room we could not move them next to each other. Coffee machine in lobby was very good but breakfast limited you to two cups. Elevator was fast.

The hotel is conveniently situated near the Prater station (2 underground lines, overground, plus trams). The hotel changed our rooms due to a leak in the adjacent room. The first room was sufficiently comfortable, the upgrade even more so. The hotel staff were helpful. Breakfasts were reasonable priced (although one morning the coffee machine failed). Near the end of our stay, the shower gel ran out and was not replaced for two days. Eventually I had to extract the bottle and leave it prominently on the side - it was changed then.

The staff is the best
Ths staff is bilingual and very helpfull to make recommendatios for place to visit. Food price nice been out of inner center but a 15min walking from the busy area. And its very convenient if you arrived late from the bus station because this place is a couple blocks away... plusba supermarket rigth next to it.

The mattress did not fit into its base. Two occupants of the bed rolled into the middle. There were no other problems.

This hotel was older but very clean and comfortable.our stay was short. We arrived late afternoon with a 0615 am departure. The staff were helpful and informative. It is very close to metro.

The hotel is close to the centre but the room was extremely noisy, not clean and there were ongoing problems with the facilities e.g. the hair dryer in the room.

Poor service
If you haven't been to Austria and are used to good customer service where you're a paying customer/client. Avoid this hotel or city. No one cared about being friendly, welcoming or hospitable. I booked through hotels.com and they emailed me asking if I had any special requests for my stay. Since our arrival was earlier than usual check-ins (2pm) I emailed to let them know we would be arriving for 9-10am. I didn't get an answer and when I showed up they had no idea. So we had to wait until 2pm to check in. They didn't bother to check the computers to ensure us no rooms were ready and we sat in the lobby and saw many people checking out. I've stayed many places and felt like the staff should have showed a little empathy due to the situation. I understand I could have been asking for a lot but if I was emailed asking if I had any requests and didn't get an email back then that's a different situation.

Good, clean and spacious rooms. Bathroom was also quite spacious. WiFi was not good inside the room. There wasn't enough signal for it to be useful, had to go to the public courtyard to use wifi. Location was alright, around 2-3km walking distance from the city center.

Not worth it!!
I will not recommend this place to anybody. Definitely not worth your money!! No internet, no ac or fan, smell smoke everywhere, and bad service. We wanted to change the hotel immediately but we did the very next day as we already paid for it and they weren't ready to cancel.

A good medium budget location for excellent transport system - five minutes walk. Wifi a little weak sometimes but good in loby. Happy to stay again in future.

I would not recommend this hotel
Receptionist Nikita Seleznjov was rude and didn't offer to help with luggages at all as well as told me that I was to pay city tax. I asked for a receipt and he printed out a waived deposit fee and charged my card $1 for the printed receipt. No refrigerator in the room, ants all over the place, the carpet is really dirty, I had to ask for bed sheets to cover as it was end of June and they had comforters on the bed one of which had a blood stain on. I'll never go there again

The Man on reception was not very friendly. The hotel has no aircon so was very hot in the room. It was very noisy as the hotel was next to a busy road. The location was good as it was near the train and bus station and a big park. Shops nearby. Beware of the bikes.

Novum Cristall Hotel
On arrival we were met by a grumpy, unhelpful man. Bad first impression. Other desk attendants were very good. The room was hot and stuffy. No fan or air conditioning. Breakfast was of continental style at a "full breakfast" price. We ate only once. The many cafes and eating places were good and far outpriced the hotel. The bed was comfortable, the shower water hot and drinking water cold and refreshing. The position to Subway connections was very good. We probably wouldn't stay again if we could choose somewhere else. It was overpriced for what was offered. All but one desk attendants was very helpful with pleasant manners and greetings.

Comfortable hotel in a good location
The hotel is comfortable and the staff were courteous and helpful. We did not have breakfast at the hotel instead had breakfast at the numerous bakeries in Praterstern station which is only 5 minutes away. The hotel is only 30 minutes away from the airport on the S bahn. St Stephens Square is only 2 metro stops away and is the main tourist area. We had a great time in Vienna and even managed to include an evening concert at Schonbrunn Palace and a day trip to Salzburg. We visited numerous Museums and places of attraction like Mozarts House, Leopold Museum, Mumok, Vienna Opera House, Kunst Historisches Museum. The Vienna Pass was excellent value for money and fully recommend it. The hop on hop off buses were punctual and numerous. All in all a great city to visit.

Convenient location, but small room
The hotel was very conveniently located near Praterstern station with access to U-Bahn, S-Bahn, trams, and buses. The staff members were very nice and accomodating. The room I had was a bit small with a small bed, which is not in itself a problem. Unfortunately the window in my room did not seal properly, so I could hear the traffic noises from the outside. Wifi coverage was also spotty. Having said that, it is still quite good value for money, considering the location and ease of public transport access.

The staff was rude and seemed like their job was a burden. The entire building needed to be remodeled. Our bathroom had mold that was only painted over.

Beware of vengeful staff.
Manager was extremely rude and aggressive. Along with another couple, we had to wait some time in reception to speak to the manager, as he was getting his croissant from the breakfast room. After complaining that the 2 rooms that I booked were not the same, i.e. 2 x twin bedded rooms, one was twin bedded with 2 armchairs and a coffee table, while the other was a double with no armchairs. After complaining about this, the manager offered us a 'garden' room which had twin beds and one armchair, so we took it. after that we discovered that there was no telephone and no Wi-Fi. The TV in the new room only had terrestrial TV, so not other language channels as in the other room. I believe the manager did this to spite us. I believe that the room was originally a single room, as there was only one bedside lamp and in a strange position. Maintenance was poor in some areas. In our first room, the bathroom sink was badly cracked with some of the glaze missing. A health hazard? Would we go back to Vienna? Yes, most definitely. Would we go back to this hotel? Definitely NOT, even though the other staff were very kind and helpful.

Great Value in Convenient Location
The room is spacious, the bedding is comfortable. The carpet needs replacing, but that didn't bother me. Everything I read about that was not working for others was working for me: WiFi, hot water, TV, etc. It can be quite loud from the traffic, if you open the windows, so we kept them closed when in room. Overall, great value for the buck.

Nice inexpensive hotel
Pluses: - very cheap grocery store "Hofer" is right next to the hotel. Also there is "Billa" across the street and "PennyMarkt" at the end of the block - Subway (U1, U2) and train (S1, S2, S3, S4 and some more) station Praterstern is 3-5 min walk; there is a tram stop in front of the hotel. - Friendly staff Minuses: - Wifi connection in rooms was terrible. The only way to use internet was to go downstairs close to the lobby - There were problems with heating and hot water. However, we've got an electric heater from the receptionist, hot water issue (there was no hot water for several hours during several days) was fixed relatively fast - Breakfast is a buffet for 9.90 euros and to me, it is too expensive for the variety they offer. It's better to go to some cafe Overall, it's a good hotel especially for it's price - $22 per room per night (with hotel.com promotion)
