Trieste is a beautiful, little town. Worth a visit for a couple of nights. Beaches are not sandy, people sit on the hard rocks or pavement, or bring their own beach chairs. Incredibly busy during summer.
Amazing Italian culture without the hordes of tourists!
Will definitely return.
