Close to head office

Posted 23-Jun-2015
Pros: Close to head office
Cons: The rooms that have not been Renovated are substandard.
Location: Tim Horton's - Walking distance
Make sure you stay in a Renovated Room! Restaurant food mediocre at best.

Good price/quality ratio!

Really appreciated this clean and quiet hotel about 20 minutes from downtown on a weekend at about half price of the downtown hotels on this particular weekend.

Nice hotel

Posted 19-Jun-2015
Nice hotel, comfy king sized bed! A few things were disappointing... Like they charged your room extra fees if you used the pool! Also, the ad promised a Keurig in the room (ours was not a Keurig), the views were not great (seeing the parking lot is not worth paying the upgrade fees of a deluxe room), and one of the lamps wasn't working in the room. Overall, it was a nice hotel- maybe not worth it simply because all the extra fees add up and they should already be included!!

Not bad.

Spent one night here. It was a clean place and good experience. Microwaves, mini fridges are available at a cost though and not included.

The only thing we really liked about this hotel was the heated pool . We entered the room to have the carpet just outside of the bathroom door very wet ! We didn't know it'll it was only water or something else . It did not dry for the entire time we were there and soaked our socks everytime we stepped to enter the washroom . The wifi also would not let us use our laptop to let our children watch a show , after trying first to rent a pay per view movie on the hotels TV and it would not let us rent . Front desk told us they were having satellite issues . And the TV stations that were available to view were all fuzzy and freezing .

Overpriced and over rated

Posted 15-Jun-2015
Pros: The staff are very pleasant
Cons: Everything, clean the place for starters
on check in the room disappointing for a 3.5 star hotel. I've stayed at $60 dollar motels that were cleaner, more modern, and more comfortable. I'm sorry to say the rooms were not up to par. The TV screen was filthy, with god knows what, I found the TV remote behind the bed, and the balcony way literally disgusting. I would never return nor would I recommend anyone to go there.

Nice hotel near major highway to downtown

Posted 10-Jun-2015
Pros: Comfortable room and facilities, close to major highway.
Cons: Room prices warrant real cups and glassware. More convenient ramps are needed around stairs. Elevators are very slow. In-room refrigerator desirabe
Location: Handy to downtown via major highway. There is very little around within walking distance, ie. shopping, restaurants, etc., so vehicle is required.
Our king room was nicely renovated and appointed. Older rooms appeared to be rather tattered and poorly furnished. Coffee maker was of single cup type, and cups were cheap styrofoam, and glasses were cheap plastic. Building is obviously older and there are some stairs to negotiate, whether with heavy suitcases or, as we observed, in wheelchairs, making entrance and exit awkward.

Wouldn't recommend as a first choice.

Pros: The free wifi.
Cons: The breakfast was awful. The bathroom needed some bleach to clear out the mildew.
Location: There is nothing nearby - just a business park. The Tim Horton's is the only restaurant around, no CVS, 7-11, nothing!
I stayed here in May for a conference meeting. The hotel is located in the suburbs in a business park area and a car is required to get around. The only restaurant within walking distance is a Tim Horton's. I did walk 3 miles to a PF Chang, but it wasn't a scenic trek. The hotel itself is fine - older, not fancy at all. It's clean, but it does have an older well-used look. The air-conditioner/heater is the older type mounted on the wall. I ate at the hotel bar restaurant - it was fine. The morning breakfast was atrocious however - inedible. This hotel seems to be used by tours as several tour buses arrived each night and unloaded a slew of people. Overall, if you are looking for a hotel stop without any frills, this place is probably fine. If you want any "comforts", probably not. The wifi is free (a bonus) but I did notice that parking is not - and there is nowhere else to park nearby so it's the hotel's paid lot or nothing.
