quick and easy

This was our second stay here. It was very convenient for where we needed to go but it wasn't as good as the first stay. There was no shampoo, the plaster/paint was cracked and peeling in the bathroom and dinner at the restaurant in the hotel was so so.

good value for the price

Posted 31-Mar-2014
Pros: restaurant staff made dinner very enjoyable
Cons: It seemed difficult to find the lobby from the street, so better signs perhaps.
easy access to DVP. The check-in staff friendly and restaurant staff were incredibly polite, and quick. For the price, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel for the price

Pros: Location
Cons: I found that the in-room TV was a challenge to navigate...but that could possibly be my own technological dysfunction.
I stayed here for one night in an Executive suite. It was conveniently located and close to the hospital where I was attending a training. The hotel staff were friendly and the hotel itself was really nice. I was looking for a small quick meal and was pleasantly surprised with the food and service available in the bistro.

Modern hotel en route to everywhere

Posted 27-Mar-2014
Pros: Modern decor
Cons: Bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned. Countertop had marks on it. Behind toilet seat had not been cleaned.
Urban gem needs a shining. Hotel served its purpose but disappointed with the rundown atmosphere. Why is there not a continental breakfast included? Staff were great.

No less and no more than expected

Posted 23-Mar-2014
Pros: clean and comfortable
Cons: free parking
I can say that this is the experience I would like to have every time I am booking in a 3 stars hotel. That means a pleasant interior, a helpful staff, a clean and comfortable room. Of course you can always add luxury, but that increases unnecessarily the cost of a temporary stay. There was an old TV in the room, but who is bothered by that if you have a good and free WiFi internet connection. The hotel has a convenient parking, which would be better if it was free. I ordered food in the room, with some fears because of the reviews I read, but it was good. I could add that it was close to my point of interest; but that it is not relevant for everybody. However it is very close to the highway, and you can readily access any objective in downtown in a 15-30 minutes drive. Being not exactly central I am returning at my previous observation : it would be a nice bonus if the parking was free.

Overall nice but missing some usual extras.

This is an older hotel which has put work into lovely new renovations. Amenities and some rooms have been modernized. However the room was missing some basics. A pen for instance, and there weren't any to go lids for in room take-out coffee cups. The towels were kind of cheap and scratchy as well, and the tv was circa early 90s. Overall a comfortable and pleasant stay. The problems I mentioned were out of keeping with the hotels update efforts. Also, the hairdryer has probably been attached to the wall since 1979. How hard is it to provide a proper hairdryer? Very clean room and lovely shampoo, conditioner and lotion in bathriom. I loved that the shower had a curved rod - the kind that keeps the curtain from attacking you while showering. I'd stay there again and maybe bring my own towel.
