We initially booked at a different Global Stay location which states on their listing that they have a pool (which upon receiving check in instructions, AFTER sending the deposit, it says the pool is unfortunately closed) this was the main reason for choosing this place. Also, the ‘walkability’ distances to Scotiabank arena, Path, etc. these were off by 30-40 minutes, and I have two small children, so this wasn’t possible for my family to stay there. I contacted them asking to change locations or for a refund (at least 24 hours before arrival) and they wouldn’t help me at all. Finally after a long time chatting with Expedia they helped me change to a different location that advertised a hot tub. I felt defeated so I took the offer for the new location. Global stay doesn’t answer their office or cell phones the entire time I dealt with them. So the only for of communication was email. They told me to let them know when I was 30 minutes away and someone would be there to let me and my children in. I did that and nobody was there to greet us (this is while my husband parked at a different location because the parking they advertise on site was not available). So my two children and myself are waiting around for over 30 minutes wondering if we even have a place to stay. Finally a man came to let us in. He was nice, thank goodness.
There was a pool and hot tub that we couldn’t use because we aren’t long term residents.
The window blinds were broken so my kids couldn’t sleep.
