No hot water. Extremely hot. Hidden charges. Let people shout in the common area until 1 am. Little food nearby. Overpriced for what you get.

Decent and cheap place to stay. Most rooms have no air conditioner or hot water. Air is almost a must in Tapachula. If you want air and hot water, send them a message through the app and they will put you in a room with those.

Excellent service, great choice
I arrived after an eleven hour night bus ride from Huatulco at 6am. I was only hoping to be able to sit in reception until daylight then leave my backpack until checkin but Ricardo on reception said my room was available and I could checkin immediately. Fantastic and a superb example of customer service. Pure delight: a shower and clean clothes. All the staff were friendly. Don't expect luxury but for the price this is a top choice. Really quiet too.

Solid place in Tapachula
It's a good cheap hotel in Tapachula. No frills accommodations, worth the price. Good location near center. They are strict on visitors so be careful on number of people you book for. Also make sure you understand if getting room with or without air conditioning. It's hot, and ceiling fans should do the trick, but if you really want air conditioning, make sure you get a room with it, as it is about $100 pesos more per night.

Inexpensive, central location, and air conditioning. My first choice for every visit to Tapachula. Don't let the lack of hot water put you off. Tapachula is a HOT city and the water in the shower is lovely and cool, not cold.

Great hotel for short stay
My friend and I stayed for two nights in hotel Cervantino and had a great experience. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean, and there was no problem when we booked our second night last minute. Great for a short stay!

I arrived at 3pm and my room wasn't ready but the manager quickly found me an identical room that was cleaned and put me in there so I wouldn't have to wait. This is a no-frills hotel. No hot water, but that doesn't bother me as I find Tapachula to be too humid to want a hot shower anyway! I always get an air conditioned room because I love to chill in my room in the afternoons. :) Bed was a bit hard. Pillows were GREAT. Bathroom was spotlessly clean. Free drinking water in the lobby. Computer with internet available there too. Wifi in the rooms. Cable TV with 90 channels and even an English movie channel. They sell snacks and drinks in the lobby but there is an OXXO convenience store only a block away. Located very close to central park. There is a new coffee shop opened up right next door that offers breakfast.

Downtown Tapachula
Inexpensive, yet good old-fashioned service. Free and secure parking-lot at the back. Close to absolutely everything one may need if downtown.

The best rooms are in the third floor bit there's no elevator only stairs. But the hotel is great the best for your money.
