The first thing is that it was easy to find - that might seem trivial but I was a refugee at 10.30 pm from a 'hotel' (C.C. Hotel, if I'm allowed to say) which provided no means of access even when I'd cracked their cryptic directions. Within 5 minutes of booking at Jimmy's, I had clear instructions of how to get in. It's very central, right above Zhongshan station, with Spot filmhouse three minutes walk away and Huayin Street market not much more in the other direction. There's effectively no outside window - you got a good night's sleep but needed an alarm clock to know it was morning. The fittings are basic - there were no plates, chop-sticks or cutlery, and no sink-plug.

Dirty accommodation
The location was pretty good as it was right outside the Zhongsan MRT station, however the pictures provided by the hotel/apartment were deceiving to say the least. There was mildew, soap scum and mold in the shower; the kitchen area did not looks clean enough to use let alone the provided utensil and dishes (there was leftover dried up coffee at the bottom of one of the mugs), the fridge in one of the rooms we booked did not work and was dirty; beds were uncomfortable (we could feel the springs). We booked 2 non-smoking rooms, however the rooms smelled like people had been smoking in there prior. Linens (don't know clean or dirty) were left out in the hall next to the elevators. This accommodation only has it's location going for it, don't stay here if you want to be comfortable and clean.

Just ok
After a long flight checked in at 11pm only to find my room had no sheets or towels. After panicking, I found the night emergency number and they said they had given me the wrong room. Kitchen is useless. Fridge was dirty and no cooktop or microwave.

Great little hotel in great area!
Pretty easy to find and in a great location close to practically everything. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, it’s did smell a bit moldy. But overall, we were very happy. Would stay again.

Nay to sound-proofing, Yay to Location & Price
The sound proofing of the room is, to put it nicely, quite terrible. I could actually hear the couple next door doing stuff, snoring, talking and I could even tell the exact time they came back from shopping. That is how bad the sound proofing is, & probably how inconsiderate that couple was. Could not sleep at all, after that couple checked in. However, saving grace is the location is very good - "connected" to Zhongshan MRT Station, and being surrounded by 3 shopping malls & a hip alley, and within walking distance to Kuo-Kuang Bus Station (~ 8 minutes), Taipei Main Station & Q-Square. The room itself is very basic, with a small kitchenette, the interior of fridge was not very clean, the bed was quite comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious. Overall, I would say if you are a light sleeper, not recommended to stay here. If you can sleep through loud thunder, like a good location, & is on a budget, this will be a perfect place for you!

Will stay again
Perfect for solo or couple travelers. Amazing location right outside of the MRT, with so many great restaurants right around the corner! Very friendly staff also bring you bottled water daily! I will definitely stay here again.

Great Location
Great location. It just next to Zhongshan MRT exit 3(staircase), if you have heavy luggage(escalator) you may need to take exit 4. Opposite is a shopping complex. No signboard and reception counter, need to contact the staff before arrival.

Comfy with good communications
The place was very comfortable and clean. Big fridge with freezer, water cooker, hotplate, pots, pans and utensils, coffee and tea. TV, hairdryer, desk and chair, big wardrobe with plenty of hangers and drawers. Window facing a wall but could be opened. AC worked fine. The springs in the bed could be felt by just running your hand over it but it was actually surprisingly comfy to sleep in. Finding it was way easier than I had thought - when you get to Zhongshan station exit 3, turn directly to your left and enter the door with a yellow sign saying Lego (left of Le Nereides), enter the elevator and go to the fifth floor and it's on your left. You can check in yourself with a door code and a lock box, instructions are sent a couple days before arrival. You get the same privacy you would in a regular apartment, so no daily cleaning except changing of towels and taking of garbage. You also get two bottles of water per day. For NTD500 we were allowed to stay in the room until 17.00 instead of the usual noon check-out. Closest convenience store is Family Mart just downstairs in the subway. Will absolutely stay here again next time I'm in Taipei!

Great location and reasonable price
For such a reasonable price this location is super great!!!! Right next to MRT exit. But I recommend you to contact to the staff in advance via Line application or e-mail because check-in process is more confusing than regular hotel. There's no staff at all except for a staff who gonna comes and change your towel and take care of the trash daily which the one I met is not very good at English. I booked 2 rooms one of them was very smelly on the first day but the next day all the smell is gone. Other than that is good, got some space to store luggage and comfy bed. I'm not sure about the cleaning, maybe once a week? All in all, it's not super great full service hotel but it's comfy enough after long day of city exploring.

Cozy and Clean Apartment in Zhongshan District
The room is cozy and secure. It was cleaned daily and we were provided two bottled water by staff. The area is just next to Zhongshan MRT station and the immediate area is almost right next to shopping centers and restaurants but few bars. Overall a great stay.

The room without window the air condition was not ideal plus air conditioning system was not functioning well very stufy With the new added room dehumidifier it improve slightly Room is not very clean Extension plug for refrigerator and television set worry about electricity safety

Very good location just next to zhongshan mrt exit 3.. condition of room not very fantastic but given the price, still ok... no daily room cleaning and the apartment is quite small to move around especially if you have alot of luggage to pack... highly recommended for backpackers but not recommended for heavy shoppers..

Central location, easy access to stations
Room was spacious and well kept. Host's hospitality was superb. We met with typhoon season, all shops and store were closed. Host was kind to provide food and drinks. We had to stay indoor for the whole day, there were lots of channel to keep us out of boredom. The location was great. It was next to Exit 3 Zhongshan MRT (staircase). Do use Exit 4 for heavy luggage. It was a convenient station which is 1 stop from taipei main station, 2 from ximending, and few stops from WuFenPu. And there is DinTaiFung just next door !

What I like the best is the location. It is located beside Zhongshan MRT station "exit 3". Should it rain, you will not be trap in the station. The room I had was generally ok, however some areas can be improved, i.e. shower stand was missing, Windows cannot be fully closed hence our stay there is not so comfy (too cold as the cold air keep coming in from the window. Generally, stay there is average pleasant. Staff is friendly though, he guided me where to go during my stay there.

Very convenient location, cheap stay, not-so-new
Location was perfect, right above the subway station and only a station away from Taipei main station. The pics of the room looks nicer than it really is as the room was much older and some of the things like the bathroom and mirrors were a bit rusty. Don't expect too much if you're looking for cheap stay, the shower water ran really slow and they only clean the room and garbage once every two days. But overall experience was good, the room was clean no doubt but best you bring your own towels. The person that brings you to the room to show you where everythin is quite friendly, don't think I saw any other staff there during the day as I was at the room by the door. One bad thing was that it didn't have a window, well it did but they blocked the window Coz it was facing the back of the building where the I guess the air conditioning and sewage/water drainage system was so if you stand near the window you could actually smell the bad odour.

Arrived outside Jimmy's apartment according to their instruction in email which is very clear and easy to follow. A bit confused as there was no signboard stating Jimmy's Apartment outside the lift corridor. Luckily we arrived before 4pm and is able to call the provided number without hassle. Very quickly, a staff approached us and guided us up to 4th floor. Check in was quick and easy. Cleanliness of room is good except for the lingering cigarette smoke smell left behind by previous occupier. Suggest that Jimmy's Apartment can spray deodorant in the room to rid the cigarette smell. Other than that, we had an enjoyable stay at Jimmy's Apartment. Staff was polite and try to accommodate our requests. We will use Jimmy's Apartment again if another trip is planned to Taipei. Keep up the good work and looking forward to our next stay in Jimmy's Apartment.

Very good location ( best one ) rt of the underground exit ( main line of taipei ) But there s no staff stand by there to take care of you and yes no service maid ( just once a week) The room is clean but no ventilation by the window cannot open and the curtain has to be closed all the time so there s some unventilated smell all over the room The entrance may not safe . There s just a elevator to the apartment floor and some level s under construction but yes in the hotel area is clean and good If u r a male traveller here s a good choice to stay for travel around taipei and its good choice for me this time . Thx u

Cozy Place Hidden in the City
It is very conveniently placed to the MRT, once you find the location. Room was decent, but the air conditioner happened to break down on me by the 3rd night. The staff was very helpful in trying to get it fixed, but it would take days, so they helped me change to another hotel, free-of-charge.

Affordable and Cosy Apartment
The apartment was a pleasant surprise - it is spacious, bed is spacious and the room is also equipped with a TV, fridge, small pantry etc. Although self check-in was required after 6pm, it was a breeze (read the instructions on their email/LINE message carefully!). Recommend to be in contact with the hotel staff (they are helpful, no worries) at least a day before to obtain the passwords to the locker/entrance. For the price we paid for 1 night, this apartment is definitely worth it. Location is ideal too! The MRT exit is right in front of the building's entrance leading to the lift lobby. Downside: Found some strands of hair on the bed. Dusty at some areas. Still OK for the price we paid I feel.

Perfect Location but discomfort condition
If you don't want to pay high for a perfect location, you can consider this. But, never expect anything from it. It appears to be a chamber without window and sunlight. No one you can call out of their office hours. It is clean, well equipped but the surrounding environment is ... a bit messy. If it is not at peak season when I visit, I will pay more to get a better one. BTW, the staff there is nice and helpful.

Uncomfortable bed - no service
This apartment is located at a commercial district. There are spas and nail salon in the building. There is a small kitchenette with a sink. You may also use the washing machine outside of the hallway. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. The subway exit is right by the building, although you have to walk up 3-4 flights of stairs.
