Rooms were very nice, staff very professional, the breakfast I wasn’t quite fond of for 50 dollars for two people buffet. And barely had options and ran out of breakfast. The beach was beautiful, the drinks were okay. The lunch food was very good i enjoyed that. Overall i did enjoy my stay regardless.

It was January when we visited. It was the start of the Spring Season, staffing at pool restaurant was poor. One waiter walked on the job as soon as they took our order. Having worked the hospitality industry for 30 years, one understands the problems and just rolls with it. However, management was too busy wearing their egos and failed to step up and help which was sad. The pool guys have a system that rocks, Good job pool team!

Booking through expedia they gave me ground floor, which was loud, unable to enjoy balcony because literally you were at the pool area. Food options you had to go to main hotel or other area. Not impressed.

Everything was great. We arrived early and were able to check in before the 4 pm check in time which was great. However, we didn’t pre-pay for the breakfast option wasn’t sure what the morning would hold for us so we left it open. That being said we ended up going to their breakfast “buffet” and it is an overpriced breakfast that’s not worth its price point. There’s several better options in the area that will have a legitimate breakfast menu/options for the $22-23/person price point that actually is served fresh and hot. The “restaurant” is just an open hall with makeshift tables and a cheap hot hotel breakfast option. No ice for drinks, sodas and other “special drinks” are in an entirely different building and are served warm. Overall, great stay but sketchy makeshift breakfast buffet that is not worth the price.

It was a family reunion and we had 3 rooms, we requested that we be together or on the same floor, that didn't happen instead they split us we had two rooms in the main building and one room on the beach front, that meant that we has to take the shuttle back and fourth. And for the price at least they should offer breakfast, the room coffee was bad. The pool closed at 10 pm and we were asked to leave . This stay was not to my standings.

Eileen at the front desk was great. She was super friendly and helpful. Chris at the pool bar was also awesome. The female bartender at the pool bar was not friendly at all and very rude. We also noticed the umbrellas at the pool look new. The umbrellas are so small it looks like they came of a kids Barbie set. Umbrellas are supposed to provide shade. These umbrellas are so small I don’t think you could barely get out of the sun.

They gave us the worst room in the place. It had no view, had stains all over the carpet, the remote didn’t work. When we complained the staff basically said too bad. And the place was empty! A as nd on top of this I have platinum stays with Marriott. We will never stay there again.

When trying to add another day to my existing booking they could not accommodate me so I had to downgrade From a 1 bed condo to a regular 2 queen room. I was here with my husband and 2 sons for a sailing event for 3 nights and 4 days and needed a fridge for some food/ drinks for the kids. Needless to say the room we got the fridge was not working. The other family we were staying with was in one of the condos that was way on the other side of the property, very far. We needed to stay near them since we carpooled together and the boys were sailing with their boys and needed to talk over planning and strategy for the upcoming race. You cannot walk to these condos and the shuttles were not always around to take us. The whole thing was just very inconvenient. I am Marriott member and didn’t receive any benefits during this stay. Again Tried to upgrade my room to be near the other family but they could not accommodate as they were supposedly sold out and the family said they didn’t see anyone next door did that so I may have been an empty room. Hotel wasn’t walkable to the grocery store or any other stores besides a gas station. Super Disappointing overall for me and my poor kids

Beware of Extra Charges
After pre-paying for our stay on hotels.com, we were not happy to receive an additional charge for "resort fees." Not being able to reach a human being to discuss these extra fees did not help. Additionally, the room was not ready on time and maid service was not provided. The hotel seems very short on help. The pools are kept in mediocre condition. We did not even want to get in the water at the pool at the main building.

Heavy construction next to my original room. No upfront warning of construction on premises but excepted full price for the room. Had to pack up again and be moved. New room at Sandpiper had wallpaper peeling off the wall. Took twenty minutes of water running to get hot water for shower to come to the room. Not up to Marriott standard.

This property is under construction and they said the work would stop at 6pm. I called to complain at 6:30 and had to call again at 7:20pm. They were still hammering and banging at 7:20pm. The air won't go below 68 degrees in the rooms. I've had mine on 68 since checking in at 4pm and it's still at 70. The air conditioners are set to not go below 68 degrees if you could ever get them to even reach 68 degrees. I will never stay here again!!
