“BEST BANG FOR YOR BUCK”

WE FOUND THE STAFF GOING TO EXTREMES TO MAKE OUR STAY EXTRORDINARY ,WHAT WE WOULD EXPECT FROM A UPSCALE RESORT.ALTHOUGH WE HAD SOME CHILD NOISE IN A NEIGHBORING ROOM A LITTLE DISTURBING WE WERE OFFERED TO CHANGE ROOMS. I DEFINATELY RECOMEND IF YOU WANT TO FEEL LIKE YOU ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT GUEST IN A STAY,THIS HOTEL IS YOUR CHOICE.

“Worth the price we paid”

Hotel was a nice place to stay. Thought everyone there was nice and accomadating, but were not helpful with the area. The buffet breakfast was great and the continental breakfast was also nice. The lake in the back is not huge, but nice if you want to ride a kayak or a canoe in it. Very dog friendly hotel

“Nice but not perfect”

Dining also caters to Busloads of travelers which can make for a long wait (even with a Reservation time). Parking fills up fast in evenings and supplemental parking is far from lobby doors. Rooms are adequate. Food is very good, especially Buffet.

“Beware the tour bus”

Avoid the third floor. The elevator does not go as high as the third floor. It is a three-floor hotel; the highest floor doesn't have elevator access. (I could not believe this when told at check-in. Is this for real - an elevator that shuttles only between the ground and second floors?) My third floor room's "window" was a skylight carved into the a-frame roof. I' m 5'11" and could look out the "window" if I climbed on to a chair. Beware tour bus groups, which cause inevitable rush hours in hotel common areas like restaurant and fireplace-equipped main floor common room. Hotel is a little off the beaten track. Plan to drive or on a long walk to restaurants outside the hotel. Room was large and clean. Bathroom needs an update. Although it needs more that just this, even a $20 investment to replace the scraped-up toilet seat would make a difference. Arriving without a reservation, when I told the receptionist the rate quoted by Expedia (considerably lower than what she quoted), she told me that the hotel's and Expedia's rates are completely separate. I asked her if this meant that I had to book through Expedia to get the rate, she said yes - although it would create more work for her. So, I did - in the lobby, using the hotel's wireless network. (Wouldn't the hotel have done better by giving me the lower rate directly and not having to pay the Expedia commission?) Not a disaster, but you can do better in Stowe.

“Reasonable rate.”

Staff was friendly. Room needed refreshing. A coffee maker would have been appreciated. The price was right for the accommodations provided.

“Fit the Bill”

Busy hotel, we had a first floor room, it sounded like there was a dance party upstairs. Absolutely loudest room ever been in.

“Desperately needing an upgrade.”

Overall the Inn was ok, but.....the decore needs a SERIOUS upgrade. The beds were way to firm. There was no continental breakfast and the breakfast that was there was not up to par for the cost. The goods points were the location. It was a nice walk to the center of town. The bartender "Steve" was pleasant and witty. The staff was courteous and helpful.

“Pleasent Stay But Not So Comfortable Bed!”

The Hotel is in a good location and friendly staff but the over all decor of the hotel and restaurant need up dating. The bed is not confortable to sleep but is a good size room for 3 person. Overall is good for the price for convenient location and free parking, pool is a plus. Pet friendly!

“Needs a facelift”

Hotel is worn and needs to be updated. If you need inexpensive not a bad choice but better choices for just couple extra dollars.
