We enjoyed our stay so much! The blue water, the private beach area, the food at the Snappy Turtle was all terrific! The service & the people really great! The condition of the property as a whole and the aesthetics could be improved. But the club room was super cozy and updated. We will be back to Stocking Island!

St Francis felt to my family as a unique resort perhaps because it a smaller resort. We felt special and pampered by the attentive staff who answered all questions and made everything pleasant and easy. We were impressed with the boat captain who was super responsive about ferrying us where we wanted to go and helpful in other ways too. The room was lovely and clean and the view of the ocean and the waves soothing and breathtaking. We ended up eating most meals at the restaurant on site and the food was delicious and prepared with care.

The resort is in a beautiful location, nearby incredible beaches that have very few visitors. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The new management went to every length to make our stay special. From arranging boat transportation to nearby beaches to providing suggestions for trips or must visit places. Julia and Richard ensured the trip was a special and memorable one. We look forward to returning!

This place was perfect if you needed to be somewhere remote, away from the hustle and bustle. The food was awesome, and the staff was very polite. The one thing I would definitely suggest is to spruce up the resort a bit and remove the construction debris from the rooms facing the beach, where the balcony is located. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! Thank you staff. We also enjoyed our boat rides with cha cha.

St Francis Resort is very clean, and all of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. It is a short kayak or paddleboard ride to the Chat ‘n Chill. Stocking island is beautiful and we will definitely return.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The peace and quiet of the island was much appreciated by us and we enjoyed walking on the beautiful deserted beaches. The cabin boats were a nice change from a hotel room.

Not worth the money spent. Rooms are basic but require a full renovation (and should be cleansed) The boat going from/to the hotel is not reliable. You cannot choose when you want to do what. And when he is late, it is always because of the guests. Super long wait for munch or dinner. Will not come back.

Staff made this rustic resort more desirable than a high end resort . The resort also is affordable and the food is good. Stayed 9 nights and wish I was independently wealthy so I could stay longer. The views are breathtaking and peaceful. I will return.

I absolutely loved it here. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Very accomodating. I stayed in the newer house boat to get the panoramic view of the water. It was great. My only issue was the water taxi driver was very rude at times. Very unpleasant, frequently refusing to carry guests over to the main land for booked excusrsions and other needs without compensating him extra, talking negative about the other staff members, and insulting guests. Other than that, everyone was so warm and welcome. I did a full day tour to explore the island and everyone was amazing. The local residents were very helpful and friendly. Food was great. Easy access to the beach. Access to kayaks and water toys. I liked how there was hardly anyone at the beach no matter what time. Very family friendly. Great place to unplug, relax, and have fun.

We stayed at the St Francis Resort for 2 nights and we enjoyed every minute of it. A taxi driver met us at the airport to take us to the dock where it was a quick boat ride to the resort. Our room was large and we had the most amazing view of the beach and water. Most of the time we were the only ones on the beach for as far as you could see. The food at the snappy turtle was very good and all of the staff were friendly. We will definitely consider coming back.

We really liked St. Francis. You can't expect five star luxury but that didn't matter to us. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were great. We had a few small problems that were taken care of quickly; the in-room wifi went away after a couple days and didn't come back unfortunately. Our room was comfortable and a little spartan but that wasn't a problem. The beaches on the Atlantic side are just outstanding. On the Elizabeth Harbour side there are good kayaking opportunities (free kayaks) and it's a short walk through the water to Chat 'n' Chill which is a rocking hangout. Overall we recommend St. Francis and would definitely go there again.

The most amazing view from our nice clean room. All the staff and owner are extremely friendly, very welcoming and accommodating. There were renovations being done and they are coming out amazing. It was everything we needed for our 25th Anniversary, quiet, relaxing and so peaceful. The beach is truly spectacular.

The customer service at the St. Francis is incredible. Staff was so friendly. Kera the manager helped make our stay relaxing, the breakfast was marvelous. The view from our room was the most amazing and breathtaking view of sea turqoise that I have ever seen. Air conditioning worked well. Marie and Donna cooked food that was delicious. Chacho the water taxi driver is super friendly and it was convenient. I can't wait to come back!

We recently stayed at SFR for six days, and at first we were put off by the “under construction” nature of the facitlity, and the lack of amenities and dining options, but after a day or two, we were completely enamoured with the simplicity and quiet, the nice staff, and the stunning beauty of the beach and surroundings. We were the only people, usually, on the huge beach. We always ate at the restaurant on site, good simple food, with the other guests for dinner companions. Only 8-10 people were there at that time. Simple, quiet and personal. This is not Sandals, and we liked that. We also watched four little boys have a blast in the water, with kayaks, running around - no TV! We did excursions to see Exumas sights - turtles, iguanas, pigs, etc but we will be back for the relaxation and the beach!

The location is beautiful but the service is terrible. Food choice and taste is not good. There is no point having a menu since they are limited in what is available. A dessert was requested for our Anniversary, we were told only dessert was ice cream. We requested the ice cream and it never came. The kayaks are all missing parts and barely floating and chairs are cracked. There is only one captain for guests and staff and they have him running around moving staff and collecting supplies. Since the captain is the only way to leave stocking island for guest without boats, guest are left stranded as his priority is moving staff and supplies. We booked 2 tours with the resort that never happened because the captain was busy running errands. Although there is construction ongoing, the place looks and feels abandoned. While owner/management was on site, they did not help staff out at all and seemed oblivious to the issues being faced by their paying guest. I have no intention of returning to this hotel.

This hotel certainly needs renovations, so many things are broken, and simply not convenient, or comfortable for a beautiful vacation! Internet is always in and out! Our bungalow’s plumbing system was so bad, barely can flush! And water flow is so so slow! When you turn on the cold water, super hot water comes out! It’s literally impossible to shower! The breakfast is free, it’s pretty good! However dinner and lunch is extremely expensive!! And you have no option so you have to spend an astronomical cost for a plain, tiny little plate of green salad ($15)!😮‍💨 The cheapest option is the plate of grilled veggies for $20! 😖 and there is literally nothing around, you are in the middle of an island, so you have to pay! The staff are unbelievably nice! So that’s why I’m giving a star! The hotel is at a beautiful location, right between the bay and the ocean. However, (not like the pictures) there is no way you can swim right out front of the hotel (the bay side), because it’s not swimmable, there are bunch of boats, and seaweed all over, not like beautiful turquoise water… and on the back (the ocean side) it’s beautiful, but it’s not a calm ocean, wavy, and choppy. That being said, they need to hire more captains to take the guests to close by beaches “for free” because they can’t accommodate to have guest swim out front of the bay of their hotel!

St. Francis is a special place. My kids, husband and I have all said this is our favorite place to stay. The island is beautiful and the stretches of beach on the ocean side are virtually untouched. Quick water taxi rides or by your own boat to get to all of the good spots on Great Exume. Staff just was the best. Super friendly and hospitable. Food was delicious. Went for Fourth of July and chef cooked up big American barbecue Buffet island style. Food was delicious at every meal. Kids and hubby and I want to make this resort annual tradition to come bk to. Keep doing what you are doing snd thx for a great stay!!
