“2 stars maximum”

Walls in the room were dirty. The bath tube was shaking. The smell in the bathroom was terrible. The towels were not changed during two days stay. Only one working elevator from five.

“Nice but pricey.”

My family and I took a cruise out of Stockholm and stayed here one night before returning home. This hotel is a very nice business hotel. The world trade center is very close. It is right next door to the Central Station so catching a train is a breeze and getting a connection to the airport is very easy as well. We walked to the Vasa museum and back, so location is great. The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. The only downside is the $$. Stockholm is a very expensive city to visit. My family and I took a cruise out of here. Families of 4 or more will have to have two rooms. The price you pay for the hotel you would expect to be staying in the Waldorf.

“Convenient if you want to tour, but surroundings a bit rocky”

I opted for this hotel because it was close to transportation, ferries etc., and the Old City. But the area leaves something to be desired. It is right in the middle of the area of Stockholm which the Swedes unaccountably elected to "blitz" in the 1960s in order to "modernise". Most European cities followed this path because they were bombed out in the war. In this case the Swedes chose to bomb themselves. The result is the most unattractive section of the city, which in turn has attracted low lifes, graffiti, etc. To find a decent restaurant, you have to cross town. And most museums are a decent hike. But, that said, it is very convenient for boat trips and generally getting around, with the central station and metro stop right alongside. And the hotel is fine, excellent buffet breakfast, good roof top bar, quite extraordinary gym facilities, and generally helpful staff. If you can get into a hotel in the "smart" area of town (I could not), I would take that in preference to this one, just to be in nicer surroundings. But if you only need a perfectly acceptable hotel and are not concerned about the neighbourhood, this one will definitely do just fine.

Area recommendations
The best collection of good restaurants is in the area around Stureplan. Take every boat trip you can manage, including the Baltic ferry as a way to leave town. Definitely go to Drottningholm. And do not miss the Vasa Museum. Or the subway art tour.

“Great location, but very pricey for old and dated rooms”

If your traveling via the Stockholm C station this hotel is just steps outside the stations doors. The lobby was very nice and presentable, however once I got to my room I was quite shocked and disappointed to see how dated and old looking the room and bathroom was. In my opinion this hotel was over priced for what the room was and you are paying for a clean place to sleep and its location. Cant say I would stay there again personally.

“Great Place - Even Better Location!”

Lovely hotel! Beautifully decorated for Christmas. The pool/sauna/Jacuzzi area was divine! The room was warm and inviting after a long day out in the cold. The location is absolutely perfect if downtown Stockholm is what you're aiming for. You're literally right next to Central Station and on the same street as all the major shopping destinations. I'd love to stay here again!

Area recommendations
Stockholm has lots to offer, but I'd also recommend hopping a train north to Gävle if you plan on visiting during Christmas. Gävlebocken, the "Christmas Goat" is a must see!
When to go
Christmas is beautiful in Sweden...just prepare for the cold!

“Good stay in Stockholm”

Good location, easy to find, to reach. Junior suite is very small, not very comfortable, but there is everything you need.

“Not Impressed”

The room was not clean. It was obvious that this was a heavily used business hotel getting substandard attention. They were geard towards business clients and seemingly not interested in families with young children. The bathtub was not even connected to the wall and was i could literally lift the thing out of the bathroom in I desired. There was no permanent drain...the water from the tub simply ran across to a floor drain under the sink. The location near the train station was ok and within easy walk to the old town. When an extra children's bed arrived and we queried the maid on the size of the family room it was obvious that she had been coached in the answers to provide. This is a great hotel providing room cleanliness, service and family friendliness is not high on your priority list.

Family-friendly activities
The Vassa museum for sure along with one or more archipelego tours

“Lot going for it”

Great location with unparalleled access to bus & train. Bit larger rooms than I've had elsewhere in Scandanavia (Denmark). Friendly, helpful service.

Area recommendations
I can see where a bit east of this Radisson (interface of Ostermalm & central city) might be preferable, but with the Chicago flight arriving at 0715 in the a.m., it was nice to easily walk to the hotel from the bus station (buses from airport good and roughly half the train price and only maybe 15-20 min. longer.
