“Wonderful Place to stay”

This hotel was wonderful. Located 2 blocks from the train station and within walking distance of everything.

“New favorite hotel in Stockholm”

I'll admit it; I picked hotel because it was in Steig Larsson's Millenium trilogy. The hotel was a bit hard to locate at first, but it is centrally located--great for someone taking public transportation! The staff is super friendly, and my room, though small, was well appointed. The decor is mostly modern, although there was a traditional floral bedspread. The bathroom was super modern and nifty--mine was a shower only bathroom, and you could swing the two shower doors out from the corner to firm a stall when you were showering, or foldthem against the wall to have extra bathroom space when you weren't. The complimentary breakfast buffet and free wifi make this hotel a super great deal.

“Convenient location”

This convenient location was close to the train/bus station eleminating the need for a cab. Our room was ready upon our arrival and the staff was extremely pleasant. We were boarding a cruise in Stockholm and the staff arranged for a reputable cab to be waiting to take us to the port. While our room was fairly small (there were 3 of us), all hotel rooms in Stockholm are small. We had a lovely view as we were on the top floor with a small balcony. Breakfast was included and was excellent and kept well stocked. The hotel is also 1 block from the Absolute Icebar.

La décoration est pitoresque, mais la chambre est un peu petite. Personnel très sympathique, toujours disponible pour répondre à toutes les questions et donner des suggestions. La localisation est idéale pour se déplacer à pied dans le centre et la vieille ville. Le petit déjeuner est copieux.

“Perfect location. Great service!”

You should have seen the look on my face when I stepped off the Arlanda Express and realized I was right in front of my hotel. Also there is a rent a bike rack right outside! This place was perfect in terms of location. The room we had was a suite but our friends room was very small. So while we enjoyed our room immensely they were a bit cramped in theirs. I would recommend a suite if you are going to stay here. There was breakfast included every morning and it was absolutely delicious. Also the bar has over 300 beers to choose from. It was pricey but everything in Stockholm is so it wasn't too much more than anywhere else. My only complaints: they advertise air conditioning but there wasn't any. I had two fans in my room and I opened the windows so I slept fine. Also the key situation. You have to use the key to get on the elevator and we had to use a different key to get into another part of the building where our room was. I don't think this was a big deal...it made our stay safer but I thought it was worth mentioning. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff was pleasant, its a great location, and we liked the food!

“Stockholm's Best Kept Secret”

Close to the city centre and transport. Family friendly, helpful staff and plentiful breakfast included. Good sized room and appropriate amenities. Well priced and welcoming.

“It doesn't get more central than this.”

Frey's is ideal for a short stay without frills. The hotel is within very easy walking distance of the railway station, underground and long-distance bus station,and equally near to the central shopping area of Drottninggatan. If your business is with central government some offices are next door, others a bit further off but still within a reasonable walking distance. The room we had was small by international standards but perfectly adequate for two or three nights. Americans might however have found it claustrophobic. If we had one gripe it was that although the hotel claims to have a restaurant it is in fact a Belgian-themed bar (Belgobaren) run by another firm. Although five tables are apparently at the disposal of the hotel for guests who wish to dine, this is not strictly adhered to and we were unable to dine there due to the number of drop-in beer drinkers (if you are an aficionado of obscure Belgian beers this is the place for you!). Having said that there are many other eating places within easy reach, and we did get a very satisfactory lunch there the following day.

“Excellent Stay in Stockholm”

Arrived early,after along flight from Australia and they had the room waiting for us well before check in time. What a relief, we were able to shower and sleep. The hotel is in an excellent location for sight seeing on foot, using the trains, or buses. Breakfast is a fest and well presented. Our room was serviced virtually straight after we left the please clean sign on the door handle.The staff were very accommodating and when we checked out we were given a gift, what a pleasant surprise. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. We had a lovely stay and would most certainly stay there again if we pass that way again.

“frey hotel rocks!”

a wonderful hotel. So close to train station ....It made it so easy with our luggage. It was easy to walk to attractions or buses. Room was incredible. Staff helpful and friendly, The morning bfast was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I give this hotel a superior rating.
