I have been booking through Expedia for many years and booking this room off of Expedia has me rethinking. This place and my room was full of mold and filthy. The front desk staff was not friendly at all. When he gave me the room keys I went to my room and within thirty minutes as was back at the front desk with my eyes swelling up and a bit of a hard time breathing. I said to the staff that there was no way I could stay there do to my allergies with mold. I asked for a refund or partial and he laughed and said there will be no refund. I left crying and had to find another place to stay. I was so blessed to find a new place that was clean and safe to stay at. I am so disappointed at Expedia for even entering this motel. Someone needs to investigate this place because honestly I can’t believe they are even allowed to stay opened.

This was a great low cost place to stay right on the beach. No house keeping, which was fine by me as the price was great. Was very accommodating for extra blankets pillows etc. The only issue we had was the pool being in the middle of the place. Kids are jumping in and screaming by 9am,but it does close at 9pm. If you don’t mind that, this is a great place and we would come back.

This place has seriously gone done hill since we stayed here a few years ago. The bad dipped way in on both sides and was very uncomfortable. The room was dirty and the staff was rude and unwelcoming. A very disappointing stay.

I did not have high expectations knowing this was an older hotel, but you couldn’t beat the location. I was really pleasantly surprised! Room was very clean, cool, and comfortable. A little run down looking in a few places, shower we could never get the temperature right, but I would stay there again. That beach!!!

We had a great time. The property overall was nice. The best part is how close you are to the actual beach and ocean. Our room was very spacious. The only issue we came across with the room was the blinds not wanting to open or close very well. We also had an issue with the elevator being down for a while due to servicing. I am currently having some physical issues, so having to walk the steps from the top floor was very difficult on me. I would also just suggest they get small carts for luggage since the elevator is so small. A larger person like myself could not fit in it with the luggage cart. I do recommend Sandalwood for the price and location.

I love this place, it has a clean pool and an easy access to the white sand beach, the best beach i have ever seen in florida, and its reasonable, i highly recommend this hotel, 10 stars!!!

Location is great. Right on the beach, as expected. 5/5 for location. They did have a nice outside sitting area, like a breezeway. Very cute. Room: 0/5 Dirty, grimey, moldy, broken, all of the above. First room we were out in was absolutely horrible, motel 6 probably had cleaner rooms. For in the sofa bed, mold all in the vents, all in the shower - absolutely gross. Second room the put us in (after I complained) a was little better. Roof leaked in the bathroom, dirty/moldy vents, sofa bed was broken, shower doors were completely broken and moldy. But the floor wasn’t moldy- that’s a plus. “Resort” sign out front says heated pool, very much advertised all around and it’s not heated. The face of this place is made to look pretty, but inside is not. Not worth the money we spent at all. Very displeased. We’ve stayed 2 buildings down more than a dozen times so we thought this place would be decent since we knew the area. Our mistake.

I think this property may have been recently purchased. It has been misrepresented. For example states that my two bedroom two bathroom unit would have a kitchen there is no kitchen. There is a sink a tiny microwave and a tiny refrigerator. Absolutely nothing furnished such as paper plates dish detergent nothing... One of the showers barely worked as well as the sink in that bathroom, no water pressure. The sink drains very slowly. The electric outlets actually look like they might be dangerous. They are wobbly and a mess. The positives are a great location and great housekeeping staff. Whereas the front desk staff was not unpleasant but certainly not warm and welcoming. The tiny elevator smells awful

I liked that we could check out towels for the day. We were able to rent two lounge chairs and umbrella in front of our hotel. It was $35 for all day. This was not through the hotel. I did not like the fact no silverware, plates, cups, or burner or pans were not included.

The Sandalwood is an older property but it is right on the beach. We had a beachfront 3rd floor king size bedroom. The deck out front was wonderful! We came for the beach and was not disappointed! Hope to be back soon!!

This a great basic place to stay. It's budget friendly and on the beach, which is what we were looking for. There are no dishes/silverware in the kitchenette. But our stay was fine.

On the beach. The property was very clean. The staff didn't seem to be very personable but weren't unfriendly. Resort all white inside and out so not very uplifting. No dishes, utensils or pans for the kitchen.
