The 250-acre Boyd Hill Nature Park is a woodlands preserve about six miles from the hotel and offers hiking trails, nature exhibits, and wildlife. Dolphins swim through the Gulf waters along the beach; commercial dolphin-watching cruises are also available.

“Will definitely be back!!!”
My wife and I were celebrating her birthday and decided to give Alden Beach Resorts a try and we were extremely glad we did. The staff was very helpful and courteous and the location was great. We will definitely stay at the Alden Beach Resort and recommend others to experience a stay there.
“Wonderful get away!”
My husband and I stayed at the Alden and loved it! It was very clean inside and out and the staff was wonderful. Being St. Pete natives we were a bit picky about where to stay and this was a great choice.
“Great personal service”
Hi, we had a wonderful time at the Alden. Right on the beach. This beach is beautiful. We were in a beach front room on the main level, so we walked right out to a grassy area with loungers and tables and then there is a beautiful beach. When we first arrived there we locked our keys in our car. All of our money was in there. I called the front desk and the man was so kind and helpful. He called several places for me. I didn't ask him he just offered. We were able to get a locksmith that was not very expensive thanks to him. The only complaint I could possible have was the jacuzzi was luke warm and the hallway we were in was a little noisy in the morning with the cleaning carts. Maybe they could go a different route? Other then that it was fabulous. Rooms awesome. We had a 2 room suite. So cute. Very clean. Overall a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it.
“clean and a great deal”
I searched long and hard for a hotel on the beach, with a kitchen and at least one separate bedroom, within our very tight budget. Alden Beach fit the bill perfectly. It had everything we needed. If you want a fancy resort, you'll want to go somewhere else, but if you want clean, affordable, a kitchen, on the beach and a separate room away from the kids (we have 3 ages 8, 3 and 1), then this is the place for you. We will definitely go back. The location is great. Publix, CVS, Walgreens all nearby. And I loved being able to save money by making some meals in our room. They supply beach towels so no need to bring your own. We had a great 4 nights.
“Excellent Hotel Suite”
The Suite was spacious enough for the two of us. I think it would be crowded with more than 2 adults and 1 child. The service was great and the hotel and surrounding grounds were clean and well kept.

Well we arrived at 5pm and are room was not ready. They were real apoligetic and told us to go down to the beach or pools and they would call us when things were ready. At first we thought it wasnt right, but after thinking about it during our stay, we would rather wait and have them properly go through our suite to make sure things were right. YES they were. The suite was extremely clean.The beds were comfortable and the suite was tastefully decorated. The veiw was awesome! I was told that it was a room that had gone through a recent renovation as is other areas of the resort. The front office staff was helpful and very friendly as was the housekeeping. I noticed maintanence was constantly taking care of the outside areas as well policing the grounds for refuse. Once again the place was extremely clean. Thank-you Alden staff for our relaxing stay. We will be back in a few years.
“Great place for the price!”
No real amenities, but the pools were clean and a perfect temperature. The rooms were large, clean, the beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff was knowledgable about the area and very eager to help. I would definitely stay here again.
“Great view of the beach.”
We were promised a suite with a private balcony, however, ours was the one and only suite that did not include the balcony. But I loved being on the 1st floor and being able to walk right out on the beach. The view was fabulous. My only complaint with the room was that the suites had connecting doors, and we could totally hear our neighbors. Luckily they went to bed early. But, it would be a problem if you had a partying crowd staying next to you. We had a great time and would stay here again!
“GREAT TIME IN ST PETE”
My husband and I enjoyed our stay, the holel was to die for, the beach front views and the suite was nice and clean. The stores and places to eat were in wallking distance. We were 20 minutes from the pier. We had a wonderful time, we will be back next year!!!!!!
“St. Petes Best resort.”
I love this place. They had great workers. Although we never got in the pool, since we went at the end of June so the ocean was more for us, the pool area was beautiful. Awesome place. I give it 2 stars.
